June 10, 201213 yr OMG, this has been brought up and discussed so many times, it is not going to happen. Aerosoft, Blackbox Simulations and Flight Sim Laboratories are all at some stage of development, Aerosoft has released theirs and an update is coming soon. \Robert Hamlich/
June 10, 201213 yr Effectively they are in a way. Lefteris Kalamaras, who was the technical director and lead developer of PMDG for about eight years, was the driving force behind the original plan for PMDG to make an Airbus A320. However, he left PMDG and is now the main dude at Flight Sim Labs, which made an excellent FSX Concorde, and are now making an A320 for FSX, with plans to also make a lot of other Airbuses. Of course FSL is a different company to PMDG, but it is safe to assume that Lefteris will be employing the same skills he had, and a similar methodology to what he did, when at PMDG. One of the main guys behind the (also excellent) SimCheck Airbus A300-B2 is also on the FSL team, so really, you've got some proper high end Airbus experts on the case. The FSL A320 looks like it will be every bit as meticulous as anything PMDG have ever made judging by the presentation which was made in Germany earlier this year, and it is speculated that it will be out before the end of this year. June 10, 201213 yr and it is speculated that it will be out before the end of this year. I typically wouldn't consider myself a fan of airbus but boy, after seeing those screenshots, I think they have got me hooked! I also look forward to see how the Aerosoft Airbus X Extended version turns out. - I never bought the original A320X because I really wasn't interested in purchasing an aircraft that did not have extensive system fidelity. I actually am glad to see that both are developing A320s. It really spices up the competition and it brings products to the market more quickly. I also really look forward to the next half of 2012. This has been an extremely exciting year for us hardcore simmers. PMDG T7(soon), PMDG DC6(also soon), REX E, A2A Stuff, QW Bae, RealAir Lancair, ORBX Scenery....etc etc. My wallet has been sobbing for the past few months. :LMAO:

June 10, 201213 yr You can fly an A300 right now, purchased this yesterday: http://simchecksoftware.com/ I love it, in the classic hand-fly jetliner class, in my opinion it's better than the captain sim 727. Especially the VC is really detailed. INS Navigation is an interesting device too.
