June 10, 201213 yr Lol and I thought that post went into the iPhone error black hole, how wrong was I!
June 10, 201213 yr PMDG are making a DC-6, that's all anyone will ever need. Al Hi Al..I'm getting worried about you... What, with Morris Minors, now DC6's....tut tut. I suppose you've got an aspidestra in the hall ? :LMAO: Seriously though, my condolences re your MM. Fond memories...I had a Morris 10 series 2 - hydraulic lifts accessible in the cab, real leather seats, sunroof, but when MOT's were introduced, ah well.. Have to go, my motorised zimmer needs a push start... June 10, 201213 yr I would love to get that Simcheck A300 but I'm not good with INS systems lol. I agree with the post above. FSLabs A320 is most wanted on my list right now. Chris Ferguson PC Specs(Rebuilt 1/11/19): i7-9700K - Non-OC'd, EVGA RTX 2080ti, G.Skillz 16GB Ram 3000mhz, EVGA SuperNOVA 1000w PSU, Cooler Master ML360R, ASRock Phantom Gaming 4 MoBo, 2x 2TB HDD, 1x 1TB Samsung EVO SSD, 1x 220GB WD SSD
June 10, 201213 yr I need a PMDG MD80 The Leonardo Maddog is as good as pmdg systems wise just not graphically. But it is really fun still especially with fs2crew. I also agree that the FSLabs will be amazing, really looking forward to it. Lee Sent using Tapatalk
June 10, 201213 yr I would love to get that Simcheck A300 but I'm not good with INS systems lol. I agree with the post above. FSLabs A320 is most wanted on my list right now. You can always use radio navigation, I don't know how to use the INS yet either, it's something I just figured I would learn on a rainy day with those YouTube tutorials. Also they have a tool that will convert and import a flight plan for you too, but have to know how to switch waypoints etc still.
June 10, 201213 yr Actually, the manual for the SimCheck A300 has a simple tutorial flight (Netherlands to UK if I recall correctly, something like that), and that teaches you how to use the INS. It'd take you about an hour to figure it out and do the flight. I'm pretty sure I covered that in the Avsim review of it. Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
June 10, 201213 yr As Lee mentioned, just get the Leonardo Mad Dog MD-82 if you want a super-realistic MD, it's even more in depth than anything PMDG have done. Graphically it is not up to the minute, but to be honest it looks okay and is perfectly usable, and in any case, it's the systems simulation which really matter for high end simming, and you won't find anything superior to the Leonardo MD on that front if you get the pro version - those circuit breakers actually work: Alternatively, Flight 1's MD-80 is another choice if you want some slightly shinier graphics. That's a great product too, especially where checklists and tutorials are concerned. What that boils down to however, is that with one from CLS too (more of a light treatment in that case), and numerous DC-9 variants available as well from a number of developers, from light ones to full-on study sims. The MD/DC-9 market for FS is somewhat diluted, and in that situation, would you commit to a four-year development cycle for yet another MD? I'm pretty sure PMDG won't chance that when there are other projects they could tackle. Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
June 10, 201213 yr Ya I have both the Leo and Flight 1 MD's. I find the Leonardo Maddog to be very dated in the sound and vc department. Plus it is a frame hog on my system. The Coolsky version runs much better for me but it has some annoying bugs that keep me from flying it. Plus both of them are basically fs9 planes. I know it will never happen but a MD with NGX quality would be awesome. I am looking forward to the Coolsky dc9 though. Matt Wilson
June 10, 201213 yr I have all of the MD's also and the Skysim DC-9, all of them except for the CLS 80 are graphical yuck. Fortunately Coolsky is going to bring what seems to be the DC-9 that will set the bar for that old bird. But, the 80 needs some love; it is like all three offerings are parts of what would be the perfect whole. As much as I would like to see the definitive MD-80 (or 90) released, I don't see it happening for some time. As Al alluded to, there are some other planes that have no representation at all and they would be more lucrative for a 3PD, such as an L1011 or DC-8; both of which I would buy in a heartbeat. I would love to buy that plane since it seems to be the deepest systems sim on the market but I heard it is a frames hog. June 11, 201213 yr Depends on your system? What other addons do you have? I have a good system and it runs about the same as the ngx. It's not bad if your systems good. Lee Sent using Tapatalk
