June 12, 201213 yr ...and on the model. You can see in the pic of the right side...Azul is another airline that paints english on one side and their language on another....the things you learn (or notice) when you paint an airline! (And this is my 1st Azul paint, so I never noticed it before). Still a ton to do....right engine needs paint, the bottom needs alignment (UGH...my worst nightmare), the tail needs adjustment, winglets, etc. Just wanted to show you what she looks like in the sim compared to the WIP I showed ya! Some of the pics look darker due to me having a shader on in the sim. Hope to have her done this week. June 13, 201213 yr Author Thanks guys! This one is a challenge (Thanks Darth! :Raised Eyebrow: ), but she should look good when I get her done. Dark colors are hard to do, and this one is no exception...and of course when there is color on the bottom, it increases that exponentially, LOL. Remember the Air Europa I recently released? No bottom color, it literally took me longer to package and upload it than it did to paint it (I always take time to get good shots of her to post with the upload so folks who don't frequent this forum can see what they are about to download. ). And that was the 1st time I painted that livery (usually a 1st time paint takes a bit longer because I can't "borrow" stuff from a previous project). Anyway, will work on it some more tomorrow...going to actually do a flight tonight! (I know right?). Been hankerin' to take a flight from KLAS to KDAL with an SWA A300. Been watching them land all day here in downtown Dallas (They fly right over my building), and figure one of them had to come from KLAS. Will post screens of the flight. June 13, 201213 yr Nice one. Up there with your other artwork. Look forward to this one as it's far better than the McPhat one I currently have on the 175/195 Rick Almeida
June 14, 201213 yr Been hankerin' to take a flight from KLAS to KDAL with an SWA A300. ???? I did not know Southwest airline operated A300?? Am I missing something in aviation history? If so, can anybody paint SWA livery on SGA A300B4-200 please? Regards, Aharon
June 14, 201213 yr Author ???? I did not know Southwest airline operated A300?? Am I missing something in aviation history? If so, can anybody paint SWA livery on SGA A300B4-200 please? Hehe...That was my "Put something whacky in my post to see if anyone notices" trick....you noticed. They never flew the A300 to my knowledge...but after being in this forum for as long as I have and thinking my 45+ years of aviation interest/knowledge would make it hard to learn something new about aviation history, I'm humbled all the time with all the things I don't know about aviation! I can tell you one thing you learn as you get older....is how much you thought you knew about something, pales in comparison with what all the things you don't know about it! :LMAO: This would be a good thread to start that I think would be immensely interesting: What is the latest thing you learned about aviation that is interesting? Mine: I was reading in another forum about an anti-fog machine they installed at a UK airport that was actually a series of jet engines buried in the ground with their exhausted pointing up at the end of the runway! I had NEVER heard of that in all my exposure to aviation! June 14, 201213 yr Steve, See, you mentioned the SWA A300...now you have someone asking for you to paint it...lol The Azul paint is looking good. Jay
June 14, 201213 yr Author See, you mentioned the SWA A300...now you have someone asking for you to paint it...lol Hey Jay, I remember someone saying the PanAm cheatline would look good on the 736.....hmmm.... :LMAO: I was just kidding about the SAW A300...I . don't have any intentions of painting one...but it goes to show that folks do read my posts, vs just look at the screenshots. Thanks Aharon for reading and inquiring....but I have to tell you its things like that that keep us interested in our hobby...when you see some info you've never heard before (when you think you've heard it all). If I was any good at SWA paints...I'd probably throw some on a 300 just to see what it'd look like. Hey...do you have power up by you? Power is out at my hotel and all the traffic lights were out during my drive through Coppell. Hope it doesn't last too long....warm here now! Hope those hail storms yesterday didn't get ya! June 14, 201213 yr Steve, No stormy wx here thankfully...however, last year I had to replace the roof due to a bad hail storm. So, we still have power. BTW, that blue cheatline not only looks good, it looks GREAT! :D
