June 13, 201213 yr Slightly off topic but I'm thinking of getting REX Essentials and would be very grateful to know users experiences of this program on performance (frame rates, fluidity etc.) when flying the PMDG 737s. Thanks for any opinions. Toni.
June 13, 201213 yr REX = no impact at NGX performance. June 14, 201213 yr I did my first flight with RexE/737NGX today and saw no differences or problems, except that the WX was awesome. The best I've seen yet. Best regards, fly safe! Mark Estes PPL-SEL PA USA [KAVP]
June 14, 201213 yr Its a must have. It does not effect the frames. If your computer is lower end it will allow you to tweak the cloud settings (Only thing that would have impact ) and you will then be on your way to having the nicest view in FSX. This addon IMO is about as Essential as the PMDG NGX William Sequeira
June 14, 201213 yr REX-E + NGX = Best flight EVER. I just did a flight over some intense summer storms and I could see the clouds towering up to FL400. :o
June 14, 201213 yr REX-E + NGX = Best flight EVER. I just did a flight over some intense summer storms and I could see the clouds towering up to FL400. :o yes, did a flight frim kind to cyvr and actually offset the track to avoid weather as it scared me a little lol Im finding it to be a little better, maybe due to less server load for the weather updating?
June 14, 201213 yr yea couldnt agree more in the above post, one thing i liked is flying through the storms now u actually think your flying thru it real time especially the thunder lol, load times you can make it quicker by unchecking the interpolating weather update, read on the rex forum theres an update coming out soon with some minor fixes that people are having so stay tuned The other thing i liked about rexe is that you can swap themes and flight plans with other users makes things more interesting I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg

June 14, 201213 yr Hi Howard in short its given more detail in the manual page 16 In short it allows rex to fill in the gaps where the weather is missing in fsx/p3d via weather feeds received. If you move the slider to the left it more accurate but fewer stations read. move the slider to the right will increase the number of stations read with weather but with less accurate details I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
