Regional Jet?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I just re-read the product plans and lineup and see so many things to get excited about. I've recently proposed that PMDG is quite peerless in the FSX add-on market and is accordingly in the unique position of being the only provider of aircraft for the "discerning" consumer. I say this to preface the following question: why not past of regional airliners, or any future plans for this segment? I just read something that proposes that over 50% of airline traffic in the US is now regional jets. So, PMDG, why not this area? I know the ever-talented Henning (I can only pray and hope for a PMDG king air 200) is on an alternative team doing the DC-6, perhaps a regional jet may surface from this team?

To be clear, I am talking about the sub-100-seat market.

Just a thought.

I would love a regional jet from them specifically the ejets 170 through 195 would be great. I prefer the shorter hop flights. Milviz is actually doing a king air 350i with a fully simulated collins flightdeck and Flight1 is doing a 200 with a g1000 and blackhawk upgrade so I wouldn't see PMDG doing one. I wish they would redo the 1900d. Its one of my favorite planes.

They've got their hands full for the next couple of years. Let's give them the time to make space on the assembly line. After that I would hope for a CRJ or E-Jet.

whats wrong with the 737-600?

an E190 is pretty much the same size as a 737-700 (the E190 is actually a few feet longer) but is only 2+2

so 736 is much of a muchness

I think the op meant more of the erj,crj type.

I would live to see both , and the E-Jets of course.

Aerosoft/DA is doing a nice crj 700/900 albeit slowly.

Majestic is doing the Q400 and already have the Q300

So I don't know where pmdg would fit in. Probably the ERJ and E-Jet, feelthere isn't bad at all just not pmdg

Cheers

E145 would be great! Gotta love Continental Express!

Feelthere ERJ is great. It does simulate alot, so they would be better placed to do something else maybe CRJ

Q400 is a turboprop remember, however it's almost as fast as some jets :)

Talking of turboprops, PMDG could do more for them. j41 is good but no one has made a good Saab 340 or an FSX quality Fokker with VC

A Saab 340 would be awesome

I thought I was the only one. Haha. Saab 340 is my favorite turboprop, but it's pretty dead now (esp since Delta killed it).

Nope not the only one :)

One of the few planes prettier then a Saab 340 is a....Saab 2000 haha

Might be a good JS41, DC-6 type project for pmdg

A Saab 340 or 2000 or an emb 120 would be great. I see a lot of requests for the Brasilia, I'm surprised it hasn't been done yet.
