June 24, 201213 yr Since this last update, Flight "flies" like it should. Thanks to everyone who might have had a part in the changes to toe brakes and TrackIR. I had never had pedals through the years of flying and was lured into getting them. I was very disappointed in Flight not implementing toe brakes in it's first release, but now find myself flying again and enjoying that feature. I have now been lured into ordering TrackIR 5 and am anxiously awaiting it's delivery later this week. I am a 69 year old "kid" with lots of new toys and have a renewed interest in all the variations of flight simulation (all have their good points and faults) due mostly to the release of Flight. I would like to see autopilot enabled and, the ability to create a flightplan in which you are presented with radio frequencies for the airports to which you will be flying "jobs" and other, "self assigned" ventures. Of course, all the later has no value if you have no cockpit! I'm not complaining - just dreaming! John Wingold
June 24, 201213 yr Thankfully, my other half is into auto racing. June 24, 201213 yr I never really cared about TIR for Flight until I tried it out earlier today. I have only ever used TIR in RoF and IL2: CoD (For those it is a must), but never liked it in FSX, didn't seem to work real well; it was too difficult to flip switches and turn dials. But in Flight, it is nice, smooth, works quite well and adds alot to situational awareness. So, for all the criticism I throw at the Flight Developers, I must give them a big thumbs up on this one. And the toe brakes, are another big "Thank you"..... ....Now if we could only get them to nail that whole cockpit thing. Todd Fleck

I tried Track IR in both FS9 and FX, and both times got sick of it. No matter how I played with the gain curves, it still was weird and gave me a headache. I finally just pulled the plug on it and hadn't used it in years. On Flight, it is awesome. Some very minor tweaking with the yaw curve, and I had it nailed. I love it now.....
June 25, 201213 yr I have no tip nor trick, no patch nor hack nor fix in this post. I'm a Flight fan, okay? The thank you that Microsoft deserves here with TrackIR and toe brakes and even the really cool weather is that their implementation in this free system update was a change for MS's production schedule and a laudable attempt to show that they are indeed listening. TrackIR and differential pedal braking weren't an experience pack in in-game Marketplace. They were an effort by the devs to accomodate the expressed wishes of their customers. Here we have Mr. Burne (Don) and others to thank. While I'm on this roll, may I express sincere gratitude to Jeroen and Chase and Mr. Allensworth as well as the frequent MS Flight AVSIM posters. I read your words daily and I am the better for it.
June 25, 201213 yr Althought I don't use Track IR, I too would like to thank the Flight team for the nice update and their efforts to make Flight even better. I have noticed some very subtle tweaks and it's great that MS are listening to their valued customers. Well done ! Fred. Frederic Steiner.
