July 4, 201213 yr The game needs something substantially different. I don't think that most of the small single prop planes being mentioned are a very smart choice for Microsoft to move to in the short run. Not enough variety. Significantly higher speed and greater cargo capacity would really round out the game and attract more people. I don't think Microsoft is ready to unleash the Alaska -> Hawaii non-stop so a truly huge plane isn't necessary. yet. The DC-3 and the Goose are both very different vehicles from the ones currently on offer. Lots of people will clamor for the DC-3, but I think the Goose is the most usable aircraft right now, and the best move for the game.
July 4, 201213 yr I still don't expect a twin any time soon, as it will require another title update adding multiengine controls to the settings menu. When we see controls for Engine#1, Engine#2, and so forth appear, we will know the next plane is a twin. I think a single turboprop like a Caravan or PC-12 is about the biggest we can hope forcing the near future. The Goose, or any of the big flying boats really, would be ideal though.
July 4, 201213 yr Since there is little likelihood of a twin the only single that I can think of that has a little more speed and some load carrying capacity is a PC12
July 4, 201213 yr Huey!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After that a AS355, then a bell 407, heck, even a jetranger would make me happy! Best, Michael KDFW

July 4, 201213 yr I would love to see a DC-3 or C-46, but I agree completely that we shouldn't expect a twin any time soon. And I think it's time for a turboprop, so that leaves a Caravan or a PC-12. But I imagine we are likely to see more taildraggers for the bush, so a DHC-3 Otter would be nice. But to get a little crazy, how about an AN-3? - Gary Letona
July 4, 201213 yr A Bell 47 with floats :-) and I'm not even asking for a glider! but a Stemme s10 would be great to :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
July 4, 201213 yr Twin Otter would be great for passengers and cargo missions or at least Beaver. No more single engine tail draggers please MS.
July 4, 201213 yr Hate to say it, but a Beaver is a single engined tail dragger... ;-) Not always. http://www.lakelandairways.ca/photogallery/2008/001.html
July 4, 201213 yr Hate to say it, but a Beaver is a single engined tail dragger... ;-) You are right how silly of me :) Make it Pilatus PC-12 then .
July 4, 201213 yr Not always. http://www.lakelanda...y/2008/001.html And we'd all be delighted if one of them was made available... along with the tail dragging version, and one on skis while we're at it. Is there an amphib version as well? Mike Dryden
July 4, 201213 yr And we'd all be delighted if one of them was made available... along with the tail dragging version, and one on skis while we're at it. Is there an amphib version as well? The float version can be an amphib, if the floats have retractable wheels. You have to remember not to have the wheels extended when landing on water, or you will find out what doing a somersault in an aircraft is like.
July 5, 201213 yr I´m glad that MS includes modern airplanes, like Icon and CarbonCub. I hope they will continue doing so, because i don`t want to play a vintage flightsim. It`s 2012 and it should reflect this. Sad enough they don`t build-in a GPS. I don`t know any single pilot that is not carrying at least a handheld GPS in his/her aircraft. Worldwide they are removing NDB`s and VOR`s, in germany for example since 2005 they don`t buld new RadioNav Stations and they plan to not maintain them in the future. I talked to one of our pilots, and they are barely using VOR`s. So i`m looking forward to modern aircraft with modern avionics. For example, if we ever get a twin motor GA aircraft, let it be the Twin Otter Series 400 or Do 228 NG
