Basler BT-67 Turbo Conversion DC-3 released

Sorry hearing about problems.

On the engine start. The plane, besides the manual, gives you hints on what's wrong. This happens on the control panel with Shift-3. See the screenshots in this post. http://forum.avsim.n...75#entry2429332 You have to enable tooltips, then It states about problems with the fuel and so on.

But what exactly happens when you try the manual start? Do you hear the starter? Are there any indications on the instruments?

Hi,

Thank you for answering. I have been tinkering with all sorts of things. I got the engines started (not using Ctrl+E) and although not sure, I think it was my settings on the Saitek Q1 and Q2.

Now, the problem with the annunciator panel, as well as the radios remaining on, still there. Shift+3 brings the control pannel and it show that with all switches off, the battery continues to drain. In short, I'm unable to set it to Cold and Dark state.

There's a trick on the control panel to set it to c&d. You pick the different payload templates and chose the empty one, activating it. This will trigger full cold&dark.

By the way. Over 20.000 views on 'just' some freeware plane within a month. Impressive!

@ CoolIP: OK, I tried to select "empty", but while I can choose the option, it doesn't seem to stick. I tried enter, right-click and a few other methods without success. One of my aims is to start C&D but the problem of the battery switch set to OFF and lights remaining, still puzzles me. I'm beginning to suspect my Saitek setup again, as non of my flying colleagues seem to have this issue.

love this plane !! the HD gauges make it even better . I hope to see more free ware like this in the future

That's a middle mouse click then. Don't worry, I've missed that option too.

On the issue with the magic battery. I'm seeing this on a lot of my planes and I think that the FSUIPC battery trick (to work around the FSX flaw) has something to do with that.

@ CoolIP: Thank you. I resolved the problem of battery ON by loading the Dodo Bell 206 first (always C&D), then the BT67 is also C&D... perfect; Now the battery switch actually turns everything OFF and back ON as it should.

I also managed to change the loading by using left or right mouse-click and then selecting it with centre-click. One questiion though, the new loading is as set for the duration of the flight, but when I re-start FSX and re-load the BT67 it is back to default - overloaded and hence requires reseting the weights. Is there a way to set the default with the NORMAL template?

I am very impressed by the quality and functionality, but best of all, the knowledgeable and polite support... very rarely found in payware nowadays. Thank you a million.

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has created a checklist I can steal a copy of?

I've printed the procs from the manual, but it's not really a compact checklist.

Otherwise I'll make one eventually unless someones done one.

thanks

It would be nice to have the aircraft unloaded as default and let the user choose the load. I use her for cargo in AirHauler alot and the unloading passengers is a kinda pain. Ive messed with it to get to that point but havn't had much luck. dll or something keeps reloading it on default.

I got the checklist in a pdf file, but I don't know how to attach it to the post in this forum. Assitance required...

I'm not sure if you can attach directly.

I can strongly recommend dropbox though. It lets you have a folder on your computer you can put files in to share, then you just right cick and "copy public link".

It's at www.dropbox.com

Thank you for the suggestion of "DropBox"; now try this, if it works then you'll end-up with the checklist. I suggest you print both pages, glue them back to back and then fold in half lengthwise; it will give the consistency of a card.

This is a really nice looking checklist. Well laid out and easy to read.

Thanks.

Awesome, thanks for that!

I'll just print one side, then put it in the printer again and print on the other side.

Cheers

Good question. I always set her c&d with the EMPTY preset and then apply the NORMAL one to get the weights back.

But you are talking about saved custom weights, right? Well, this should be possible as the other templates call for some pre-set numbers too. If the devs can tell where one could edit the payload presets, you would be set, literally.
