July 27, 201213 yr There is a thread where one of the (former) Flight team members "Loki" answers some crucial questions for Flight customers: http://forums.steamp...d.php?t=2841556 1. Will the servers that allow us to use the DLC remain online forever? 2. Despite stopping active development, will you still fix bugs? 1. Server will remain up for the forseeable future (barring meteor strike ect) 2. unknown on what we can do code wise. when I get more info I will share it. While we are not making any new content (beyond a plane that was finished prior to the decision to shut down production of future content)you will be able to use any purchased content, you will be able to purchase new content, and the multiplayer features will still be functional. Loki MS Flight I hope this eases some of the "Flight" customers pain... FS Blog -- http://www.flightsim...y.blogspot.com/

July 27, 201213 yr Commercial Member So apparently a new - final - DLC plane will still be released!(?) Or maybe it means just that you can buy existing DLC which you yourself don't own yet... ?
July 27, 201213 yr Or maybe it means just that you can buy existing DLC which you yourself don't own yet... ? From Loki: Speculation is part of human nature, we all do it. When I can provide more info about the plane I will, personally I think it's pretty cool, so here's hoping we can get it released. July 28, 201213 yr I Wonder what plane that is ....someone that had a pen an a paper next to him took some notes and left the important thing in that paper for the next time around. Once again its a waiting game to be pick up later on ,ill be waiting ..... Image removed as image is no longer available.
July 28, 201213 yr Commercial Member Ah ok, didn't go to actual site. That's good to hear, I hope they get it released.
July 28, 201213 yr Another plane maybe? That certainly might be interesting, if they were to release it - although, not sure what they might hope to gain by doing so. But then I was surprised they released the Carbon Cub the day before the announcement of killing off Flight. Don B

July 28, 201213 yr If they do, let's hope it has a cockpit. Amen brother. I still do not know if I will by the Cub, I probably will but guess I am just still not in the mood after yesterday's announcement. Don B
July 28, 201213 yr Amen brother. I still do not know if I will by the Cub, I probably will but guess I am just still not in the mood after yesterday's announcement. Here's how it went down for me: Got home from work, promptly downloaded the cubby, fired it up in Flight for a test run, thought it was the bees knees. Had dreams of MS providing more content for said cubby, logged onto AVSIM to see what others were saying about it. Oh what's this, MS is shuttering Flight?....awesome....shoulda saved my $15 worth of MS points. Although I really like what they did with the VC cub and think it is a cool plane, it is still on a platform with no future. I just have a hard time enjoying Flight anymore with this constantly nagging at me. Despite its shortcomings I thought it really had potential given the proper focus and time.
July 28, 201213 yr I just have a hard time enjoying Flight anymore with this constantly nagging at me. Despite its shortcomings I thought it really had potential given the proper focus and time I think that is my problem as well, I have not even launched Flight yet since this announcement came across here - which is highly unusual for me. I am sure I will, just not sure when. And I will probably end up deciding to get the Carbon Cub, even though it is all over just to have another plane to play with what I do have of Flight. My primary focus will be moving over to my other sims, but am sure I will still run Flight some, just no where near as much as I did. Don B

I am not exactly sure what it all means, but I certainly feel it too! We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. July 28, 201213 yr I made a 40 minute or so flight in the Cub and the magic was gone. It's still a great plane and I was over decent scenery, in good weather and great lighting, but the awareness of driving down a dead-end street never faded. It was so depressing I'm not even sure if I'll give it another shot. On the other hand, I'm looking semi-seriously at Trade-a-Plane for the first time in years. We shall see...

Less than 5 minutes. I don't even know why I went to get the dammed aerocache. This sucks. (sorry) Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.
July 28, 201213 yr Yeah, I think those of us that really liked Flight for what it was and spent a lot of time with it, are feeling pretty much the same thing... an end to something we thought could be really great... Really difficult to get excited about taking that next flight. I'll sleep on it. Don B
