Ever Considered the Classic?

Featured Replies

I've always wondered if PMDG would make the classic 737. The -300 -400 and -500. That would be really great to have!! I'm also excited to get the 777. I hope it's not too expensive. :-/

Currently in flight school

Rob stated during the Aerosoft conference back in March that PMDG won't be the classics. That leaves us the Wilco 737 PIC Evolution, the Enigmasim 737 and IXEG 737 for X-plane.

I've heard from a RW 737 pilot that the wilco isn't too bad and that systems needed for everyday normal ops are modeled just fine.

I still think the old CLS 747SP cockpit is one of the prettiest I've ever seen, complete with dials, etc.

I just wish some one developed an FMC that you could plug into your a/c just for the nav part ie. SIDs/STARs/Cruise, etc. I've seen vids of B707s, B727s, etc still flying (and looking their age) but with FMCs for nav purposes. I love flying online but hate it when I don't have a working FMC.

If we are allowed to make a wish then I would definitely go for the 747-200.

I had so much fun with the ready for pushback but that is kinda of outdated now, graphic wise.

Enigma Simulations 737 will be quite good so the gap will be filled soon!

Quote from 911 magazine: "- ...RSR delivers unparallelled performance and stunning looks"

It's been said before but one of the reasons PMDG might not put their whole team on the classic bandwagon is because older airplanes simply don't sell as well as newer ones. Take the MD-11 for example.

But they still sold more than Mcdonald Douglas did.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

The CLS looks pretty but not very realistic in systems the RFP would be good if it was in FSX.

If you want a REAL classic remember they are making the DC-6B and it's not far away. The cockpit shots show how far along it was
