September 18, 201213 yr I've been getting pretty bored on Flight lately, so I wanted to know what it is that you guys do when you are on Flight. Aerocache hunting? Missions? Challenges? Free Flight? Please mention! Jehan Kateli
September 18, 201213 yr Hanging out with other people and acting foolishly. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. September 18, 201213 yr Exploring back country airfields in free flight and on jobs of all types in Hawaii and Alaska. I am just easily entertained I guess. Making my own challenges as I go.
September 18, 201213 yr Early on I was flying biplane sightseeing tours in Hawaii, trying to see how many landmarks I could visit on one tank of fuel. I got up to 31. I probably did as much of this as anything else. Later i flew lots of clandestine cargo until I got the badges, then flew passengers trying to figure out how to get happy passengers in the Maule. In Alaska I did a lot of just flying around in free flight, going new places, exploring interesting looking mountain passes. Later got in some clandestine cargo and passenger runs in between the sightseeing. Went back to FSX and what did I do? Flew a DC3 back and forth between Yakutat and Sitka. I've got a C-46 on the way for Flight, so I'll be doing that same run in Flight shortly. Currently in FSX I'm flying a Searey around northwest Washington state in honor of a beloved author. Some of you will know what I'm talking about here. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
September 18, 201213 yr I used to hang out with a few mates in Flight and do the odd job and have a good natter, but most of them have now left Flight (i wonder why? lol) so I am on my own most of the time now. So I just grab any new caches and do more jobs. Which one I choose depends what mood I`m in but I keep a particular eye out for Clandestine ones which I enjoy most. Which aircraft I use depends on the length of the journey. Short ones less than 30nm I like to use the CC because it`s fun but a bit slow. Above that it`s the Maule for most of them . Burger Runs I mostly use the AV . I don`t do many jobs over 150nm because if the time it takes. I do have the C-46 but rarely use it.Just can`t get used to flying without a VC.
September 19, 201213 yr Burger runs: I preferred the Icon for those. Which reminds me... I rescued the kayaker 20 times for the badge. I think that counts for "spend most of your time" even though the fraction of time spent wasn't that large. C-46 downloading at about 15 kB/s. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! September 19, 201213 yr .....arguing with the co-pilots and opening the doors to get a reation out of them.
September 19, 201213 yr It's not about what I'm doing or doing most of, whatever I do in flight I have fun!
September 19, 201213 yr I always go for the aerocache. Then if the mood strikes, I'll look for a clandestine mission. If not and I have time I'll usually just do a cargo job to an airport I haven't visited yet. I've been too busy to just go sightseeing, but intend to. Thank you.
