October 8, 201213 yr Do it from the International Space Station, then I'll be impressed. Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
October 8, 201213 yr richie go to the red bull website you will get all the info there: www.Red Bull Stratos Challenge Cheers Don Emerson
October 8, 201213 yr Do it from the International Space Station, then I'll be impressed. Yeah and float off into space.... I dont think so!
October 8, 201213 yr Yeah and float off into space.... I dont think so! All jokes and humor aside if you leap out the ISS you'd slowly but surely descend back to Earth. Remember, to accelerate to an escape velocity from 1 million feet needs propulsion. The Earths gravity at that altitude is still almost 1G, so you're not going to float off anywhere by leaping up. You'd needs rockets to escape. All that nonsense aside, thanks for the heads up Don. ill be sure to watch the stratos jump. October 8, 201213 yr How does the capsule manage to reach such altitude? Is it launched from ground, just like a rocket?
October 8, 201213 yr How does the capsule manage to reach such altitude? Is it launched from ground, just like a rocket? Helium balloon launch. The balloon will take it to 120000 feet. Russ

October 8, 201213 yr I hope he succeeds, as it would be an incredible feat. Having said that, I think he's going to die. Matthew Bellette
October 8, 201213 yr Is there enough oxygen to breath at that altitude or is he cheating with a tank of some sort?
October 8, 201213 yr Is there enough oxygen to breath at that altitude or is he cheating with a tank of some sort? Of course he wears a space suit...... btw he might be going supersonic while "falling".... Regards, Chris Volle i7700k @ 4,7, 32gb ram, Win10, MSI GTX1070.
