October 15, 201213 yr I'm in. Although I would certainly intend to support such an event, I doubt whether my initial skills will stretch to an across-the-pond delivery of a B777 soon after release. Perhaps it would be better to have it after a few months experience with the bird? I agree with Richard, but I think a couple of weeks or maybe a month would be enough instead of months, in plural. If we did this event right after release, we will have dozens of pilots on the airport trying to figure out how to fly the airplane and having all kinds of problems. Matheus Mafra
October 15, 201213 yr Author I'm in. I agree with Richard, but I think a couple of weeks or maybe a month would be enough instead of months, in plural. If we did this event right after release, we will have dozens of pilots on the airport trying to figure out how to fly the airplane and having all kinds of problems. And I agree with both of you! Perhaps two weeks after release would be a good amount of time. Not only would this allow for proper planning and scheduling on the controlling end, but it's likely that all of the pilots interested in such an event would have spent so much time tinkering with her in that time, they ought to be prepared for a long haul flight. October 18, 201213 yr From my personal Vatsim experience (member of Vatsim-Germany [VACC-SAG]) you can attract more traffic by letting users know beforehand that you will be online at a specific time. YES this works well too. It is about promotion too. 737 hahahahahahaha
October 24, 201213 yr This sounds like a round-a-bout sneaky way for some organizer out there to scam a release date.  Patrick Houghton
October 24, 201213 yr Once you build it, they will come. Like flies on... honey  Regards, Martin Martinov / VATSIM 1207931

October 26, 201213 yr Like the idea, I'm definitely in! I also agree that you need to give it a few days to ease into the T7 ops though. I take it that many of the posters here are already familiar with the NGX and similar Boeings so the transition period should not be too long. Although there would certainly be features and traits of the T7 that you won't be so familiar with in such short time, normal operations should be fairly stable within a week or two. October 29, 201213 yr This is a great idea! I'm in. I do also feel that it shouldn't be the day of release, but maybe a few days afterwards. If possible, it would be great if from Day 1, KPAE could be staffed and then a few days into release would be the delivery day and the 24 hour operations schedule Best regards, happy flying, Wallace
November 3, 201213 yr I think when they release on the Saturday, we wait a week, so that the next Saturday is the "24hr Real Ops Delivery 2000 Boeing Spectacular Event". It gives time for us hard-cores to learn the new bird and fly it to it's destination, and also gives enough time for the return flights when the receiving airlines decline the delivery because Boeing messed something up. haha. Note: The release on a Saturday was predicted by my magic 8 ball.
