Or we can skip the update and just roll her out...

I think that would be the best option!!

+1 [Just because it's got to be near release]

Imagine that - the first good look we have of the finished product will be on our sims. I actually love the idea :P

All of the above is a fun idea, but I doubt it honestly. It's a bad marketing move to do a release without promotion and previews, because while we are all totally on board, there are people out there who (surprisingly) don't know or aren't sure about the release. Putting out information and images etc. about the aircraft prior to release boosts initial sales numbers tremendously. This is also the reason (as stated by a PMDG staffer previously) that there will not be a "stealth" release. He said we'll see it coming, and unfortunately that means that this lack of info means we aren't really that close. I would be that happiest person on Earth to be way off here, but from a marketing standpoint, silence doesn't sell airplanes.

you guys in the US will hear me screaming for joy, believe me

Then again though - if they attract too much attention then it'll be constant whining apart from us regulars :P But I get what you are saying. However all of this can change overnight. The update they put out on Facebook sounded somewhat promising; I think once they show us that flight deck update these forums will start getting busy. There's only so much to go off on the forums - the only flight deck photos are hidden away in Avsim, the other previews have been unpinned so new people won't see them..

..Unless that means newer ones are coming in the very near future ;-) Ha we can talk about this all day- I guess things will come when they do :-)

I think you're spot on there.

Personally i don't really expect to see the 777 being released this year anyway. I would of course love to be proven wrong on this, but realistically i don't think it will happen.

I too am thinking it will be June / July next year before we see the T7.

That's what i believe as well, next year during summer, we'll see the T7.

CASE: Fractal Terra Silver CPU: AMD R5 7800X3D 5.0Ghz RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 GPU: nVidia RTX 4070 Ti SUPER · SSDs: Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 PCIe · PNY XLR8 CS3040 2TB M.2 PCIe · VIDEO: LG-32GK650F QHD 32" 144Hz FREE/G-SYNC · MISC: Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Joystick + Throttle Quadrant · MSFS2024 · Windows 11

Those are incredible - I cannot wait for it! I think I'll be flying it with EK much often :-)))

Omg... Dubai Rebooted looks FCKING AMAZING. I never fly there but give my me 777-200LR and Dubai Rebooted and I'll fly there every day.

It is great that someone is actually realeasing a decent 777, It is just sad that you have made it for FSX only. There are FS9 loyal simmers out there that feel that PMDG has deserted them with this release. Really wish PMDG would invest a little time on an FS9 version.

Because its a very old platform and wouldn't be able to do half the things they can with FSX.

PMDG need to put a pinned, locked topic about FS9 along with 2-D Panels..

I demand it work with fs98 and fs2000.

Quite frankly, I think its disgusting. I also want to import it into "my sims" city B)

I think that's exactly their issue with developping for FS9.

To 'invest' means putting effort (i.e. money, time, resources, etc...) into something with the purpose of earning money (most of the time) out of it. The goal, ofcourse, is to gain more (how much more is up to your business goals...) than what you invested. What is called the return on investment.

I suppose FS9 does not provide with the necessary revenue any more, hence the reason for not developping for that platform anymore.

When your car is getting too old, you'll have to buy a new one even if you spend a lot of money pimping it up (new rims, bumpers, paintjob, hydraulic suspensions, etc...). It's your choice to keep it, but at some point you'll have a hard time finding manufacturers making spare parts for it...
