Glad that this is coming along nicely! Hopefully I can take to the skies in the T7 early next year!

One quick question for the PMDG Team:

Do you guys think that you have avoided the issue with "freezes" of the aircraft?

Nice update. I'm confused about timing of the various projects again. I was under the impression that the DC-6 would be first and then the 777, now I'm not sure. Last we heard about the DC-6 it was (to quote Robert) "Dangerously close to Beta testing" and that he hoped it would be released in the summer. (That's the June update.) Strangely quiet. Oh well. Maybe the next update will have some info on it.

I think the DC-6 has been put on hold to speed up the 777 development. Don't quote me on that as I could be wrong.

A few hours ago we pushed a 777 update to internal users

Captain, how to become a member of the internal users? I volunteer free of charge! 8^)

Yeah, I've had that suspicion myself, but I was hoping that wasn't the case.

What ever happened to the Dash 8?

The DASH was affirmatively back-burned. If I recall the explanation, it was something along the lines of the DASH 8 had more "jet-like" properties, especially with regards to navigation/FMS and thus required more work than they anticipated and might require work from the people doing 777/747.2. I believe it was left as "We want to come back to this, but when we will, I don't know" or something to that effect.

Will it? I don't know. There's someone else's Dash supposedly close to release. Depending on how good it is, I suspect they might kill theirs. I suspect the market for a DASH isn't like the 737 where you can have multiple competing add-ons. But, that's all navel gazing on my part.

Two totally different aircraft though. The "other" is a Q400, while I'm pretty sure PMDG's was for a non-Q -100 or -200.

I really hope they continue the project at some point. It's one I'd love to have in my hangar.

Ah, thanks. I hadn't really focused on the Q v. non-Q aspects of the two projects.

It's nice to hear what's going on with you guys besides the actual development(s). Appreciate you taking your spare time that you have to write this out. Looking forward to this more and more each day! :-)

I guess I'll go to my local airport once again and take some close up pictures of the real thing - just to satisfy my hunger for 777 LOL

I have to restrain myself not to go to the airport viewing area every weekend!!

Thanks for the update, I'm looking forward to this aircraft a lot.
