With the 777 (hopefully) around the corner, my question is - do you or will you be flying the 777 in real time or sped up? If sped up, when and at what simrate?

I personally don't do RT flights >2 hrs because of RL commitments + the cost of electricity but thats just me, but it would be interesting to know.

Real time, otherwise I don't see the point in doing a long haul. But some people don't have a choice due to other commitments which is fair enough.

Yeah - I'm definitely a long haul addict. Whenever I land in the real world after eleven hours, I always think how I could do it all again ha.

I dont really like long hauls, but I always fly all my flights in real time. I wont imagine I'll be flying this bird on short hauls tho, so I guess I wont really be flying her all that much. Probably wont even buy her at launch.

Sped up, since I am often on the clock, and then I don't mean in the time I can spend in the sim, I mean in the time I have to get the cargo to its destination in real time.

Whicch is also why I try to shorten turnaround on the ground to bare essentials.

I sometimes use 16X, depends on how bad I need a smoke.

I fly real time 100% since I don't fly longer than 8-9 hours at the most and after 7 hours I really start to get bored and want to land. Might be good to do all of those ANA short hauls and rack up cycles big time.

just on that....what sort of short-haul routes are there for the 777?

J Thomas YBBN

If I fly long hauls, I usually just up and leave it once it's at cruise. Come back and check every once in a while.

Look at Japanese schedules, the treat 747's and 777's like RJ's.

Yep I play on the PS3 or something to pass the time.

GTA 5 and the 777 would be such a perfect mix.

Real time all the way as my VA does not permit any other sim rate.

I wouldn't even dare flying anything else other than 1x. Why fly then?
