November 9, 201213 yr Commercial Member We won't do that since FSX has the standard mouse looks which pans around quite nicely by holding down the middle wheel button whilst moving the mouse around. To use Mouse Look you can also try the other following methods; • press the space bar whilst holding down the left mouse button • press shift-O then move whilst holding down the left mouse button, press shift-O again to exit mouse look • program the wheel button to shift-O in your mouse driver. Regards Cheryl

Regards Cheryl Unfortunately this isn't working for me. In the options for controllers under mouse look- the option "mouse look (on) I had mapped to button 3 on my mouse, which is what came up when I pressed the middle mouse button. When I return to the sim, it doesn't work. Spacebar still works to toggle mouse look on/off, but spacebar+mouse requires both hands to be off the controls, just to look around the cockpit. EZCA handles this beautifully, but unfortunately doesn't play well with Opus turbulence and weather system. November 9, 201213 yr Braden. Just a question: Do you have a registered version of FSUIPC? Rick Hobbs
November 9, 201213 yr yes. I do know of the mouse-look checkbox Peter Dowson has provided, but it seems when I check that it is "always on" and I'm unable to use the mouse for other things, such as clicking on cockpit buttons, etc. It also prevents me from accessing any menus. I read on the Dowson Forum that you must disable your controllers so that the FSX version of mouse look doesn't clash with FSUIPC's. Unfortunately this doesn't work for me. November 10, 201213 yr Commercial Member This has gone far from the OP. Do we have an ETA for the Winds Aloft? If the 777 comes out before it's implemented I may have to go to another weather interface for a little while. Alex Alex Ridge Join Fswakevortex here! YOUTUBE and FACEBOOK
November 10, 201213 yr Commercial Member Just released the historic weather option. Bump aircraft effect and winds aloft next, difficult to give an exact ETA but should be within a few weeks. We have finalised the design, just need to do the coding. Cheryl
November 10, 201213 yr Sounds great. How far back does the historic weather go? Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
November 10, 201213 yr Commercial Member The last 24 hours. You need to check your configuration (Config and Weather dialogs) carefully after upgrading to this latest beta since it can get corrupted, e.g. the import METAR file option may be ticked Also download the beta 2.40 posted after 14:00 Zulu which has the Historic Weather option enabled, the previous posting had it greyed out still. The current, previous 24 hour option will soon be supplemented with a secondary server option which may allow you to go back further. But for most users the 24 hour cycle should be adequate. November 11, 201213 yr When you introduce the GRIB winds aloft data will that also include the correct temperature as well for that altitude? I noticed when compared to ActiveSky that the high altitude temperatures are a bit lower. 14-21C using OPUS and 30-34C using ActiveSky.
November 11, 201213 yr Commercial Member We will most probably be doing the temps aloft, they are only forecasts though.
November 11, 201213 yr Commercial Member Are we getting a fully realistic winds a loft and temps? For long haul it is necessary to know the winds for fuel planning etc. Alex Alex Ridge Join Fswakevortex here! YOUTUBE and FACEBOOK
November 11, 201213 yr Commercial Member The GRIB data as used by most software packages are forecasts for winds and temps aloft.
November 12, 201213 yr If it's the same data source as used by HIFI Simulations and REX then overall it shouldn't be an issue. I was just curious if we will have temps since the temps from OPUS were different than that of AS.
November 12, 201213 yr Commercial Member We will be using the same source as HIFI Simulations, I think REX get it from a different source.
November 13, 201213 yr Yea I'm pretty sure REX does get it from somewhere else seeing as how their data is pretty innaccurate. Thanks for the info.
