FlusiFix-2006 V5.0 for FSX (2605 KB - last updated 2010/02/08)

This tool was especially designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Its intention is to eliminate all the small and large errors within Flight Simulator without the necessity to search for hours on end through all the folders and files of the program. Additionally, typos can almost completely be eliminated as well as damage to files and data loss caused by wrong handling of files. All possible tweaks and changes are documented and can be reversed any time. If a special tweak or change is not wanted it can simply be omitted.

Every single change that is made possible with this tool has extensively been tested, no bugs were detected. Nevertheless, the use of this tool is completely at your own risk! The author does not accept any responsibility for damage caused by the improper use of the program or the program itself. The author does not guarantee the correct functioning of the program.

FlusiFix has developed into a large and powerful tool. Not everybody, however, needs every function! Therefore, it is highly recommended to study the description of the function before clicking on it! To keep track of the changes, the status-line in the lower part of the window displays which functions had been used when and which changes had been made at the FSX.

And, please remember: FlusiFix only changes those items that the user has selected by clicking on it!

Looks like a great tool! No need to install every single fix individually!

Worked for me over the years very good! FSX on a single core notebook, photoscenery FSAltitude US, default Kingair, FPS 20 or even more with 2D Panel cross country, Airports like El Paso Addon still flyable = around 15 FPS, all after tweaking with FlusiFix of course. Easy to use and it was over the years developed into really a kind of swiss knife for FS9 and FSX. Free and it always worked the way it should. Thank you Wolfgang so much!

One thing that is neat is the fact you can reset your FSX.cfg to the default. There is no need to go to the fsx.cfg and rename it, restart fsx and let the config rebuild. It will reset to the default and it will begin to reload the Trusted programs, etc.

You can also go to the DX10 mode before starting up FSX. That way you won't have to go in, check DX10 preview, close FSX, then restart FSX.

It also has a neat feature where you can create your own functions. For instance, if you have a tweak or several tweaks you want to test, you can create the lines for the tweaks then enable or disable them. Yikes! I see this as a major plus because you can have all of your tweaks enabled or just one or two and you can see what difference it made with your flight. I have found trying to edit the fsx.cfg with new tweaks, you have to find the section first then put in the tweak then save it. This program will allow you to do this on the fly!

It has a fix for the strobes/beacon lights too and some other fixes. I think this is a must have utility and it's FREE! Thanks Mark for bringing this to everyones attention again. There's a version for FS9 too.

Best regards,

Jim

If Microsoft did their job and released a SP3 this kind of software wouldn't be needed. Just awesome that there are people out there doing Microsoft's job for free. Sadly many of these great utilities are getting old...

I agree with those praising FlusiFix and also extend my thanks to Wolfgang. I've been using it for years and recommend it. Its neat graphical interface makes it the easiest, and probably the safest, way to make a large number of tweaks and corrections. Each tweak is described, and it is easy to reverse each tweak too. I'm pleased it continues to work under Windows 8.
