November 15, 201213 yr That is one aircraft that defanitly needs PMDG's touch, it seems no one is working on one, and that would be an awesome aircraft to fly. Michael Pare Extreme Boeing 737NG fanatic

November 15, 201213 yr Yep.. we can hold out hope on this one.... been a long time... but it is beautiful... The old Freeware Dreamwings and PAD's are tired but still sufficient I suppose... November 16, 201213 yr I should imagine if the Majestic turns out to be as good as it promises then PMDG will probably cancel the Q400 (if it hasn't been already) unless they're quite far on with development. ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.

They never had a 400 on the books. The only thing in the works were the 100/200/300. Kyle Rodgers

April 21, 201313 yr PMDg will almost definitely not develop this aircraft, one of the main reasons is there is one on the market just released to a high complexity. i7 6700k, GTX 1070 (MSI), 16GB Ram DDR4 Asus Maximus VIII Hero, Corsair H100i v2 - Alex Farmer Goldstar Textures - www.facebook.com/goldstartextures
April 21, 201313 yr I think it unlikely that we will get a Dash-8 from PMDG. Although it was in their plans three years ago, it hasn't been mentioned since. Possible because another respected developer announced their plans for a CRJ. Sadly, three years later, that promised product is still vapourware, and PMDG havn't released anything else in its place. April 28, 201313 yr The Majestic that is out now will fulfill all your needs. Sent from my Apple communications device. and more. Seriously the Majestic Q400 is way up in the NGX quality territory. Loving it. Now I just need a 777 and my fleet requirements (Regional, Domestic, Longhaul) are pretty well covered. The Q400 slightly overlaps in roles with the JS4100, but they are a little different. Q400 goes faster, and has more drag on decent (especially with flap 35.) the Q400 is somewhat more automated with it's VNAV and engine management systems. The startup sequence is very different. Landing speeds are actually sometimes slower on the Q400 (Flap 35 helps, flap 15 is more steady). Q400 has APU (JS4100 has battery start or GPU start). They are somewhat comparable, and nice simulations on both of them. Here's a recent flight I did in the Q400. and (a less recent flight) in the JS41 Trent Hopkinson, 2015 Crewmember of www.mangrove.com.au WorldFlight sim Youtube channel www.youtube.com/user/musicalaviator
May 20, 201313 yr With the exception of the documentation, the Majestic offering is up there with the best that PMDG offers. Forwarned is forarmed as they say, the tutorial called 'sample flight' that comes with the Dash-8 doesn't work and will cause a lot of frustation if you try to use it to learn how to manage the aircraft. Instead, go to their web site and on the 'Resources' page, download their 'detailed tutorial' and you will be fine. It is still not at PMDG quality so although you will know what button needs to be pressed and when, you may not know why. Paul Smith.
