November 16, 201213 yr I agree lads. Rex's textures are gorgeous but there's something about AS2012 textures that keep me coming back for more. Chris Howard
November 16, 201213 yr OMG, I will be glad when Weather Wars is over! Which weather war? AS is the only one with historical weather and this is the most important feature for me. I usually fly in daylight or dusk/dawn, but I have just time to fly in the evening/night. Only AS could serve me the right weather from todays noon. Everything else is just the wrong weather. :lol: Guenter Steiner -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Betatester for: A2A, LORBY, FSR-Pillow Tester --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

November 16, 201213 yr REX Essentials + has historic weather as well. And OpusFSX has the last 24 hours. Edit: Ninja'd by the guy with the blue, white and red flag! That doesn't help me much when I look at my notes and read "24Sep11 has good ridge lift for soaring at XXX site all day and YYY site in the afternoon". I've about come to the conclusion that perfectly accurate weather doesn't matter that much unless you're flying with others online. As long as the weather is *reasonable* some inaccuracies don't matter that much. In the end, it comes down to personal preference and preferred features. Early this morning I did a flight in Alaska in the DC3. Started under overcast, and just before landing flew out of it into broken clouds. Beautiful. When I checked the AS2012 weather map after the flight, I was supposed to be under overcast there as well. But after several historical weather loads, the weather didn't change until I was very close to the airport, so the clouds stayed the same (instead of popping) because I had Prevent Cloud Redraws checked with DWC. Should I have gotten a sudden overcast pop up? I'd prefer it the way I saw it. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
