December 10, 201213 yr Excellent news Bryan. It's about time to refresh my NGX experience. I'm so used to it now that I actually downgraded and started regularly flying the QW RJ-85. Time to dust off the 737NG manuals I guess... Regards, Martin Martinov / VATSIM 1207931
December 10, 201213 yr Author Commercial Member Agreed, Emergency NGX! will bring new life back into the NGX... even if you're not interested in the QRH stuff, a lot of people will still be interested in the extra voice sets. I did a flight on VATSIM with FS2Crew NGX Voice the other day (first time I've used VATSIM in ages), and it was pretty amazing. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
December 10, 201213 yr Author Commercial Member Martin, Are you Russian by chance? A Russian FO would be nice. FS2Crew has quite a few Russian users. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
December 11, 201213 yr Martin, Are you Russian by chance? Nope, I'm Bulgarian. Even though I can speak Russian, for a proper Russian FO sound set a native speaker would be the only way to go. Maybe you can post a message at avsim.ru or vatrus.aero. There will be plenty of people willing to help I believe. Regards, Martin Martinov / VATSIM 1207931
December 11, 201213 yr Author Commercial Member Okay, Emergency NGX is pretty close to being done... maybe we can find time for a Russian :-) B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
December 12, 201213 yr Does this work with the random failures you encounter with the system based failures option enabled in the ngx, I don't like to know if and when I will have something go wrong.
December 12, 201213 yr Author Commercial Member Does this work with the random failures you encounter with the system based failures option enabled in the ngx, I don't like to know if and when I will have something go wrong. Both... Basically the way it works... FS2Crew doesn't read the 'failure' event via the FMC... instead, using the SDK it scans the warning lights in the cockpit (just as the pilots would in the real plane) to determine if a non-normal has occurred. If a specific warning light(s) illuminates, for example, the FO/PM will announce the issue: "Captain, we've got an APU fire..." You'd then perform your memory items if any. You'd then call for the Checklist from the QRH... the FO then reads the relevant checklist and performs any actions listed from the assocated Checklist in the QRH. Cheers, B. December 12, 201213 yr Author Commercial Member Hoping before the end of December. But people are now on holidays, so that may slow things down a tad. But it is close. Good news for Button Control owners is that they too can now use the 'extra' FO voice sets. They won't have the QRH stuff, but they will have the extra voices. B. December 12, 201213 yr Bryan, I'm thrilled that you've added an entire suite of voices for Emergency NGX. With such a variety available, it will make every flight that much more interesting and fun. Credit card ready! Curt Branch
December 13, 201213 yr Author Commercial Member Curt, Agreed, the extra First Officer voices by themselves make the program worth getting. I wouldn't be surprised if 90 percent of my customers are more interested in having the extra FO voices than the failures stuff. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
December 13, 201213 yr Bit of both I think for most of us...though in the longer term the xtra crew voices will get the most use. Is the range of voices as good as the maddog? That fs2crew still stands out for its comprehensive set of accents. And what about getting the french f.o. from the maddog back? December 13, 201213 yr Author Commercial Member These are the new First Officer voices in Emergency NGX! * United States Female * German Male * French Male * Australian Male * Caribbean Male * Spanish Male * Italian Male Unfortunately, we couldn't get the French girl from the Maddog back as I lost her email. Instead you've got a French guy. But the new American voiced is female if that's any consolation. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
