The main reason I won't be going for it (price being the secondary). My system isn't the most up-to-date, and some Orbx/aircraft combinations run just too slowly. I need somewhere in the world that performs better, or certain planes would never get out of the hangar. UTX/GEX performs better for me, and Scenery Tech better again,

Meh...Orbx global will destroy.

 

Well first, it isn't even out yet. And second, GEX is made with Ultimate Terrain in mind. This is the best combo, both working together to place textures properly. I really doubt Orbx is going to work hard to make Ultimate Terrain as compatible and beautiful. Plus the way they butcher default textures with their own scenery regions makes me more skeptical.

Agreed, personally I use the FSGlobal, GEX and UTX combo. I have all regions for all three, it looks awsome and performance is very good.

 

I might change it all for something better, but that will take some serious persuation ;)

With Gensis mesh, Scenery Tech, UTX, GEX, I get great scenery and good performance with this older machine.
