Avsim, maybe it's time to think twice before posting more here...

It would be a pleasent surprise but I never realised there were that many active members here. The way people talk most of those accounts haven't been used in a long time...

No one said they were always active. But have you noticed the 500 to over a 1,000 plus users online at any one time shown at the bottom of the main page?

Yes I have noticed that. It doesn't really seem like much to be honest. How would one extrapolate that to mean there are tens of thousands of active users? Given the current state of FS I would not have made that conclusion off the top of my head if I were just looking at that figure alone.

Certainly wouldn't surprise me with some of the things I've seen here recently.

I think Fr. Bill was referring to young folks who don't work yet or pay taxes (which represents some of our community).

Got it in one, Chase. You're one sharp tack... As for the poor, since I are one of 'em myself, I have no problems at all mocking myself. I'm so poor I can't afford to pay attention... Seriously!

I've caught up on the dialogue surrounding Word Not Allowed's departure.

Whilst I understand the Ts and Cs underpinning the AVSIM forums what I can't understand is why AVSIM staff are engaging with disgruntled members??

I run a business here in Australia and one thing I don't tolerate are my staff (myself included) encouraging ongoing email, text, online dialogue with customers/public over issues.

Sometimes it's best to bite your tongue, sleep on it, think, then respond.

As a management team you all have alot to learn and can't act like the average punter, especially when politically sensitive topics are being discussed in public forums.

Same here. I'm also poor, but money isn't everything; living life the best that I can is!

Cheers to all the poor pilots using FS!!

Try telling that to some of the management here. Sniping at members (current, banned or otherwise) seems to be a favorite pastime for some of them.

I'm going to just let this one float away now that the OP has gotten what he wanted to say out. There's no sense in us festering over the past. Let's all get back to what we love most, and that is the hobby.

Sincerely,

Chase
