Most up to date payware ai traffic

Featured Replies

Hi Dave,

The main ones I'm looking for would probably be the updated Garuda and Air Canada liveries.

I'll check the files section of this site and see what I can find.

Thanks

It is a good guide to installing AI aircraft base models and textures.

Guys, please educate me, because I'm still not clear on how those GAIT guys are doing anything wrong. From what I can tell, they are taking freeware AI, textures, and flight plans, doing all the work to make those workable in FS9 and FSX, and then bundling those for download for immediate use, for free. They also have links on their webpage to the major freeware AI groups, so they obviously are giving credit to the developers. I don't speak their language, so is there some wording on their website where they claim someone else's work as their own? Also, how are they different from WoAI? It is my understanding that WoAI didn't create the models or textures in their packages, they just provided packages that were easily installed. So, please tell me what the difference is because right now I am really confused about how we define piracy in the freeware world. Just looking at their website (again I don't speak their language) I got the visual impression they are simply doing what WoAI did.

I am not trying to start an argument. I really want to be educated on this. Thanks.

Todd

WOAI has gotten PERMISSION to use the models and textures, these other sites have not. Those links are not to legit. packages as ### AI is the same illegal stuff done by this same group. Also, providing links does not mean the same as giving/ receiving credit.

Jskorna, thanks for clarifying.

I have posted a tutorial on using the import function for UT Classic version in FS9 on the Ultimate Traffic forum. Should help you a bit

Not only have they not gotten permission to use the models AND repaints AND plans, they have all been told NOT to use them by the vast majority of the original authors. Then they go and package it up saying it's all their work.

i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200,  RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024

I have presented my evidence and rest my case ....... hasty and itchy trigger finger and all

Well I stand corrected, and admit to my shame I only read manuals in emergency, take little notice of reviews, and just go for the clips promising amazing detail and performance...

How do I get my "AI fix" then?

Tip up the blinds, don the TrackIR hat, get a good helo out of the hangar, go to a nice busy airport like EHAM, start Active Sky with RW weather, plug into http://www.liveatc.net/search/?icao=eham'> Live ATC for a bit of authentic chatter, and go flying!

Best watched in HD of course, sorry for the jitters it's only when I switch on FRAPS.

What I like most is, you hear on the feed: "Established on 06" and because the weather is real, there they come, onto runway 06 as advertised.

i dont really use traffic to be honest, i was using Ultimate Traffic 2, but, then i got heathrow xtreme...and that got me around 2.5FPS when flying "day time", 6 at night. So i had to turn it right down to 10% worth of traffic. Sure, flight sim looks a bit bland now, but hey, at least i'm flying smoooth!

FSX?  I get silky smooth frames with 100% traffic @ KLAX in FS9 using UT.  FPS is not an issue for me in FS9.

LOL.  It's all good.  Been happening quite a bit here.  We're used to it.

I'm too scared to do flights into or out of major hubs in FSX.  Kills my fps.  I also run UT2 in FSX.  Not too bad with 40% traffic at CYYZ, but KJFK, KLAX, EHAM is a stuttery mess for me.

Aye, not sure really how to upgrade my computer so that it runs smoother...

Simply don't download any freeware package that claims to include worldwide AI traffic under one installer... All of those include freeware AI textures & flight plans & AI models from freeware authors without their permission. You know, it would be impossible for them to even get permission from the authors of all those hundreds or thousands of different paints, models and flightplans.

I think only exceptions are some old version of Mytraffic which was released as a freeware (originally it was payware), and World of Ai which of course doesn't even include all the AI traffic under one installer but instead inside group of packages and got permission from original authors to include their files in their packages.

All the files that can be found from flightsim.com & avsim.com file libraries are okay.
