Actually it's floor length draperies.  I've had to live with the previous homeowners hideous Exorcist "green pea soup" colored window treatments in my cockpit / home office since we bought our retirement home three years ago.  I have had all sorts of different patterns pitched at me by my wife over the past 18 months, all of which I rejected.  I believe she was picking colors and patterns in attempts to eject me from the cockpit.  She made the mistake of sending me a link to a fabrics website and challenged me to pick my own.  I fell in love with this pattern immediately, much to her chagrin.

 

Got these today and they are splendorous !!  I included an insert in the bottom right corner to show the pattern better.  This is a substantial fabric and these are fully lined with an insulation quality lining to help with utility use.  They however let through considerably more light than the window treatments we inherited.  But not enough light to interfere with my TrackIr.  

 

This will also be a definite draw for my grandson, who at 5 is already airplane happy.

Well there a a lot of serious topics here and everything from great and beneficial revelations to heated arguments.  Seems appropriate to inject a bit of levity  from time to time.  Keeps the environment fresh.  You know, reduces global "warming"!

Hummm!  So from Duck Dynasty to Sheldon I seem to be missing a lot.  Should I sacrifice FSX time to catch up on these?  Or should I stay the course I see on my GNS430?

I think those pea green curtains were the "bee's knees" at one time.  Putting up new drapes (if you're married) may be a test of your vows.
