May 7, 201313 yr Author Every time I walked by the computer, I would set a new file to download. You do know that you can download more than one file at a time? I download 7 files at a time. Takes about 15-20 minutes. Once completed, I download 7 more. I tried to download more than 7 but the page that asks you where you want to save it on your HDD won't come up until some of the previous 7 are fully downloaded. May 7, 201313 yr The hills and valleys are all still there. Covered in quality photoreal they look a whole lot better. Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. A great landing is when you can reuse it." i9 64GB RAM, GTX-5090

Best regards, Jim I have tried this, but end up with some of the .zip files corrupted. That is why I went to just downloading one at a time. I'm really curious to see how the Grand Canyon will look in Colorado. That should be interesting. I love MSEv.2. It is really some beautiful photoscenery. Much better than flying with UTX or anything else that I have seen, even Orbx, although Orbx will look better at very low altitude or, of course, on the ground. Robert Yunque
May 8, 201313 yr Author I'm really curious to see how the Grand Canyon will look in Colorado. Not very well because it's in Arizona. They do sell a MegaSceneryEarth Grand Canyon already and that is very detailed and allows you to fly into the Canyon. I suspect the V2 will be a little better. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! So when flying at night either your default FSX or GEX ground texture light maps will show and wont match what the photoreal day texture would be displaying. If you have UTX you can use its night point lights/street lights over the default or GEX ground textures. It's been said that at some point in the future the MSEv2 products will include night textures as a free update for existing users. It will probably be a long time out though since they will probably either finish the US or the rest of the world that they can get aerial photos for before they start on the night textures. May 8, 201313 yr That's what i thought i'm sure it still looks good thou i will probably take the dive and get this also looking into florida Thanks JHo Jaime Horton
May 9, 201313 yr Still haven't added Texas, though if I do it may still be only a few sections. Did recently pick up Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska, though. I can already hear some asking "Iowa and Nebraska?", but these are mostly flyover states for me and perfect for photo scenery. I've always hated making the annual trip to OSH from Colorado and having to endure the obvious repeating tiles I'd get in those two states no matter what landclass product I tried. And even with UTX, parts of the S Platte river would appear and disappear near the confluence with the N. Platte in western Nebraska. I know I've often pointed out photo scenery's shortcomings, but when it's good, it's really, really good. BTW, to whoever it was asking about discounts, be aware that there are usually some pretty nice discounts offered to existing customers on a semi-regular basis. Between 10% off Tuesday and a recent existing customer coupon I bought those three states for almost 40% off list price. Once you buy a Megascenery product, I think you'll find others becoming available for some very attractive prices. Scott

There are other addons you can get that will display lighting properly especially around Dallas (MegaCity Dallas). I personally have not tried it but don't see why it wouldn't work with MSE V2 if Dallas is located above MSE Texas in the Scenery Library. Maybe some day in the future we'll see a night lighting upgrade. If you are still thinking about buying MSE V2, I would just get one the photoscenery products and see how you like it in your system. There are many videos out there too that show off each area. I just bought 3 states and literally got one free because the discount. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource!
