I have recently created a couple of repaints that I feel the online community will really love. I have mastered the ability to make aircraft appear metallic. I have also created a Flight camouflage that will completely hide your plane in the game. So, please check them out and tell me what you think. Thanks and enjoy.

Why don't you upload these to the Flight repaint section of the library?  That way they will be accessible to all and not get lost when this thread gets buried deeper.

@HiFlyer There is a real issue that Coast pointed out to me is that the majority of people on Flight haven't even heard about the repaints, and this issue is reinforced on a daily basis when I'm in Flight. Keep in mind most people on Flight likely don't know about Avsim, Msflights.net, Microsoftflight.com and other websites for Flight. Coast had a specific term for this type of issue since he's been in the software industry and I'll have to get him to explain it better.

 

However, DXC does great work, and we've been tossing around repaint ideas for free flights and events.

I've been doing my best to post the repaints on Steam... sort of an "eat you heart out", "I have some ice cream and you didn't get none" mode but so far perhaps people are thinking that these planes are "For Sale?"

 

I dunno.

Well the major problem I see is that the name Avsim seems to have zero name recognition to the people I am talking too, and I doubt they are stopping to write it down.

 

I might as well be offering to show my vacation pictures.... :-)

I'm getting a feeling that this could become a rather lengthy discussion, so someone should start a topic on how to get these addons out more. I've already given the links to kittychix aka kitty aka Chloe, and I've posted them on msflights.net and here as well.

 

DXC and I have been working on some repaints lately and trying to come up with some event-themed repaints.

I keep pushing Avsim in some FlightSim.com posts as there is not much going on over there. I bet your vacation pictures are pretty good Devon!

Actually, repainting anything, and even flying a bit has been low on the totem pole recently. I'm doing some heavy work related stuff and have been knee-deep in the type of studying and paperwork that tends to make the rest of life fade right away for a while. (Bleah)

 

As for vacation pictures, its mostly me and the kids dangling upside down from trees while the womenfolk yell "Get down from there!" :-)

Thank you for the feedback fryer. I am always looking to make improvements to my repaints, so perhaps I will take another look at making "Metallic Edition" less conspicuous. I will also take a look at placing my name on the planes in a more visible location, if that is something the community would like to see. I am glad to see that everyone is enjoying my repaints.

Dear Community,

 

I have been very busy lately, and was away for a few days. When I left, this post only had about 90 views. I am glad to see that the community has been enjoying my repaints. I have several new repaint series in the works right now. They should be out later this month(May). I have a feeling that they might top the "Metallic Edition" series. So...keep checking back, and thanks to those who have downloaded my repaints from my website.

 

@F50ACE I will try to get online later this week. We can talk more about getting the community involved with repaints then. You know that I always have a new repaint in mind... I will try to get the repaints that I have already showed you finished up and online for the community to enjoy.
