Looking to purchase a new full tower gaming case

Featured Replies

Hi

Can anyone recommend a good full tower gaming case ? My chip is overclocked so I need something half decent, have around £100 to spend

Thanks Paul

How you doing Paul,

Do a google search for the "Cooler Master Cosmos S" series or the "Cooler master HAF X". You can also try the "NZXT Phantom". They are all great cases and should be in and around your budget.

Yeah, you just need to shop around a bit. I would look for a PC case that is built for silence. Love my Antec P180 cause its designed totally for quietness and good air flow. Its discontinued but the P183 and P280 seem to be replacements.

I love my Corsair 650D.  It's technically a mid sized case but it's larger than most.  Their 800D (full sized) is a monster but incredible.

Antec makes great well ventilated gaming cases

True, but FWIW: It may not seem that important when looking at the features but be sure to get a case that has easy access to the fan filters. I have the Antec 1200 v.3 which is a great case with awesome cooling, but it's a total PITA to have to open both sides of the case and remove 24 thumb screws once a month just to clean the darn things.

I have the same case. I run my 2600K at 4.8GHz now, and with a H100i and this case my temps never run above 70c. My mobo sits in the 30-34c range.

There is plenty of room in the case...

See if you can find one that has front panel slide-in (with snap on cradle) hard disk capability.  I have a Gateway gaming computer that has the feature and it has been a life saver.  Yea.  I did not build my system.  But if you can find a case with the cooling you want and the slide-in bays you'll have a home run.

I was able to source multiple Seagate hard disks of the exact same model and size as my primary HD and have routinely made exact clones as backups with the software Seagate supplies with the drives.  Takes me about an hour to clone my 1.5TB drive.  I do so at least once a month, rotating the multiple clones.  I also make a fresh clone before any major change to my FSX environment, and again before I elect to allow Windows Updates.  The clones are identical and bootable clones of my primary.  They are easily verified after the cloning process by changing the boot sequence in the main BIOS and booting from the clone.

Got the Corsair 650D too and I love it. I have a H80 and the mobo never exceed 23-24 degrees. Something tells me that can't be correct though since the temperature in the gaming room usually is higher! :D
