May 24, 201313 yr I believe I read a real-world pilot on here saying that the FSD Navajo was very good at engine out handling also. Unfortunately, its visuals are up to the same standard as some of the other candidates mentioned in this thread. The FSD Navajo is "ok" in FSX. I have it, but I found that a number of switches in the virtual cockpit do not work correctly, at least not in FSX SP2-Accel. This is to be expected as the FSD Navajo is a port over of their FS9 Navajo. The Navajo is a nice, cabin class piston prop aircraft. Good as a people mover and a small cargo mover, capable of operating out of rough and relatively short fields. It's a shame that FSX does not have a native Navajo. May 24, 201313 yr As I see the videos, I do not like the landing light model in Milviz pistons. I like more the Carenado light effects in his new releases. Why Milviz not corrects this annoying effect ? The light beam illuminates the landscape and sky from a very far distance.

Why Milviz not corrects this annoying effect ? The light beam illuminates the landscape and sky from a very far distance. Unless I am mistaken, MilViz admitted this was a trade off in getting a realistic lighting effect when the aircraft is on the ground. It is a problem with the MS FlightSim coding. May 24, 201313 yr Other planes have realistic lighting effect too, but without such error, like New HD Carenado, PMDG, Lotus and so on.
May 24, 201313 yr The B55 has a "Free Radio" option like the 310, which takes the Garmins out of the stack, so they're not really "glued" there. You're welcome to remove and replace them if you'd like to, but "stupid"? Really? You will need to have something to replace them with, but there are options. Well, why not share those options then? I´ve only seen the RXP alternative panel.cfg.
May 24, 201313 yr Well, why not share those options then? I´ve only seen the RXP alternative panel.cfg. The purpose of the free radio panel is for you to be able to do whatever YOU want with the radio stack. It frees you from having to use the configurations that are defaults for the plane (it "unglues" what you thought was glued there), but it's up to you and/or others in the community to exercise that option if you don't like the default configuration. If you want something custom, then you have to customize it, but Milviz give you a way to do that. Most 3D panels today don't. The B55, unlike the C310, supports 3D RXP integration, which is why there's a specific alternate panel.cfg for that. Scott
May 24, 201313 yr Commercial Member If I may make some comments here... specifically about the landing lights... We used the same basic process as the Lotus and Shockwave lights. Yes, there are issues... Yes, we know about them. Yes, we will also be offering, as we did with the Baron B-55/E-55 an update for those who don't like them and or get the dreaded BIG SQUARE. We will also be adding the 3D EXP integration. This will happen in about 5-6 weeks after we release the 737 (oops... did I just give a timeline?)... As far as the radio free panel is concern, Scott has it right. The idea is that you put whatever you want up to and including nothing. We don't choose for you. We're trying to give you options here. Nuff said. Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. Please provide proof of purchase if you want support. Also, include the username you wish to have.
May 24, 201313 yr Author ....And back to the topic... What do you guys think about the Carenado Baron? ORBX- the way to go Sincerely, John McGee
May 24, 201313 yr We will also be adding the 3D EXP integration. 3D RXP for the 310? Really?! If that's the case, the 310 may well come out of the back part of my hangar and join the B55! Scott
May 24, 201313 yr ....And back to the topic... What do you guys think about the Carenado Baron? The Carenado B-58? Beautiful model and textures inside and out, not a very good FDE. As far as I recall, and I compared this Carenado back to back to the Milviz 310 and B-55, it doesn't have a realistic stall, and sideslip and single engine ops are not at all realistic. I AM sure Bernt didn't work on that one
May 24, 201313 yr Author Is there a list of the Carenado FDE's that Bernt actually did? That would be really helpful. ORBX- the way to go Sincerely, John McGee
May 24, 201313 yr The ones I have and know about: 337 A36 V35 ("optional" patch) F33 ("optional" patch) P46T C90 I believe he did the following as well but I don't have them and others will have to confirm: B200 C182T SR22 There may be one or two other patches available (185?). I'm sure others will be able to confirm and/or add to the list. Scott
May 24, 201313 yr Commercial Member 3D RXP for the 310? Really?! If that's the case, the 310 may well come out of the back part of my hangar and join the B55! Scott Yes. Really Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. Please provide proof of purchase if you want support. Also, include the username you wish to have.
May 24, 201313 yr Author Thanks Scott. Is there any hope he will re-do some older models and maybe do some new ones? ORBX- the way to go Sincerely, John McGee
