Why no more livery previews!?

Featured Replies

It's all my fault :sorry:

I'm one of the dozen or so people on the planet without a Facebook account (and never will!) so the very day I started actively watching the PMDG FB page to get my livery update for the day...they go silent.

So blame me!

Their silence only means great things are at work guys! Rob promised a video and an in-depth cokcpit preview of all the features so their absence comes at no suprise and is making me more excited really

I still think the 777 is still at least a few months away from release.  If i remember correctly they have always released the Liverys for download a week or 2 before release .

I think they got bored and went fishing.

Eh, fair enough. We know veteran PMDG champion @@Tabs won't leave our beloved forum though.

I'm loving all of the pats on the back for all of the people who are, for some reason, elated that they've "resisted" Facebook thus far.  Man, it must be so tough for you all.  Congratulations on sticking it to the man!

(Yes, I know you're entitled to your opinions, but if you're the type to seek external validation, as is being displayed here, then perhaps Facebook is for you...)

...and for those who don't get the following reference, I am sorry:

I say the June 7th/12th release date is looking quite realistic now, seeing as how it has historical significance to the product, yet also is within a reasonable amount of time, thus allowing the PMDG team to release the video & extra flight deck shots sometime in the next week, then maybe allowing another week to pass preparing the servers for the cluster-fudge that is to follow the release.

Please Note: I am not attempting to, nor am I ever implying my information is concrete, it is pure speculation and is of my own OPINION.

It's not a matter of resistance but a matter of risk.  You figure it out.

Take a deep breath Kyle -_- . We don't ALL have to follow in your footsteps, and some of us actually do have quite valid reasons for not being on FB that are ours, and ours alone. This isn't a FB forum, so it doesn't need to be, nor will it be debated here my friend. The above were simply comments and not FB bashing. Allow others to have their own opinions without knocking them, ok ^_^ ? Thanks.

As someone who has worked in the field of information security, and continues to provide a support role in it, I'm not sure what risk you're referring to.

Never said you did, and I never said you shouldn't resist joining.  I just found the celebration to be somewhat...odd.  I never said you weren't entitled to your own opinion, but if mine diverges from your own (which is clearly does), there's no need to take offense to it.  It's just an opinion.

Would it be wrong to assume you're not in compliance with the rules of the forum for similar reasons to you not having a Facebook account?

Kyle,

can we stop this, pls?

The risks for people being too overt with their facebook information are widely known - not just to specialists, but including those specialists.

As stated above, no one intended to bash FB or FB users. This was supposed to be an easy topic and some weird connections have been drawn between livery previews and FB habits - that's all.
