Don't have too high expectations for NA! osm data is growing every month, but still poor outside Europe. I was surprised that now some US cities have the same quality as European cities, but the rest is still poor. You see it, if you compare file size: NA is 256 MB, Europe is 1300 MB.

 

I've changed some roofs to gray, maybe they're still looking kinda European.

I just tried this at London Heathrow airport EGLL, however it doesn't look as good because there's no underlying photo/vfr scenery. Where may I find this? The underlying photo/vfr scenery really works well together with the OSM and autogen in making it look realistic. I can't seem to find the photo scenery on simheaven's site anymore. :(

Maybe you have a look at photo sceneries??? Where have you searched?

That's excellent and very impressive!! :rolleyes: It seems all necessary tags (e.g. height) are maintained in osm data.

Great work!!!  I tried the EuropeOSM  last night and it was amazing!  Can't wait to get home and download NA.

I tried ZL16 but it seems the file is corrupt. I downloaded it 2x with the same issue when I try to open it. Winrar or Winzip would not open. The other files were fine.

As written, you should use 7Zip to decompress. If it not works, send me a PM.

I've made some changes to the facade set of Osm_Europe (both versions):

more contrast, converted dds to png that you can easier adapt, and changed some roo colors

 

The update is 10 MB, just copy it into the facades folder:

The changes are already in the uploaded Osm_Europe, so you don't need this if you download from now on, only if you have downloaded earlier.

PilotBalu, any updates to the photo scenery for Hawaii and Hong Kong areas? Last time I remember I downloaded them, the colors looked pretty bad. Everything was like a cyan blue color to the land texture, So grass and everything looked extremely bad and washed out. I was curious to know if you will be updating these. Some of the photo sceneries are pretty good, but there are a few that really need to be updated. I also have the Thailand one and it has clouds in the photo scenery. Hope you will update these as well.

I have updated this 2 months ago, i know that the quality of these photo sceneries is not the best, but it was the best I could get, I don't think that anything has changed within 2 months time. So, the answer is no, I can't update them as I don't have better data.

 

The last 3 months I was very busy with updates of photo and osm sceneries, now I'd like to fly to enjoy my work and maybe I drive to my 'home town' Barcelona for a week or two :rolleyes: and then we'll see what is next... :wink:

Which sceneries do you use? OSM + photo textures?

 

Were is the state of liberty coming from?

Got OSM for July 11 for North America flew Phoenix see the buildings set look plausable in shape similar to fsx. Incremental improvements with OSM think FSX start to have the feel of abandoned steel mill. We won't see leap and bound improvement Xplane will pull from XPX.
