How well does FS2Crew and this addon play together?

Fs2crew with FSCaptain both play well together also GSX  to . Some time you would get FA talking at the same time as Fs2crew ground service would speak . But you can always used GSX for ground service . FSCaptain is amazing don't miss FSP neither . The most part i like about FSCaptain is that you have to be on a rush to try to make it on time to your destination . Or you will will get some complains from your bost . Also if you forget to remind the cabin crew when takeoff they will also file a complain to the company . Is like you have the same responsibility as a real pilot would have .

I like the sound of this addon, but ;

.....is it possible to turn the above feature off? ....... as personally, I can't think of anything worse after a flight in terms of realism.

In 40 years of flying I've never once heard the passengers applaud after a landing.

All the rest sounds good - gonna investigate this product more.

We get that a lot here in the Caribbean. Just yesterday my father arrive from Miami to the virgin island an  his flight had to do 3 go around because of the bad weather that was hitting our island . My father said  when the aircraft was trying to land it nearly slip off the runway .  The pilot did a touch an go after he had to pull up again the minute he felt the landing wasn't right  . The captain was about to go to his alternative . But he give it one more last try an the aircraft landed everyone applauded . On a turbulent landing everyone applaud after landing . We see that every time here. I think we will see lots of applaud because hurricane season just started . An that means very challenging  approach , because where i live  when aircraft are landing you almost think is on water they are landing because you won't see land until the aircraft have touch down .

Wow...you need to get around more.

I've been around plenty thanks .... ...... Ok, not to Indonesia, and I still can't imagine anything as pointless and almost inappropriate as clapping the highly trained pilot of an airliner, for landing   ... but anyway, that's for another discussion.

The point is;  I think if you sampled how many airliner landings take place each day, the % where people clapped would be very low .... (very very low) ... thus, can the feature be turned off?

So, do you clap when a Dentist successfully removes a tooth, or a Doctor cures your cough too ?   :P

Hey Dave , if you are a pilot an you had a tough time landing an i am a passenger an i see a great landing you did to get us safe on the ground i would clap . Man is our lifes in your hands when you are the captain of that aircraft. So the lease we could do is clap an applaud with respect to your landing .

I think we are moving a bit off topic now as the thread's about FSCaptain .... .... mine was just a genuine question as to whether the 'applause' could be turned off, but yes I understand your point.    As has been touched on, I suspect what we have here is regional and cultural differences.

All I'm really trying to establish is whether that feature could be turned off, as if it can't, it'd be a deal breaker for me, and I am (that apart) really interested in the sound of this product.

Imagine if I said to you that people in the Faroe Islands all sing "Angels" by Robbie Williams every time an airplane lands, well even if that were true, you would probably want an option to turn it off at your end, no?

LOL Angels  By Robbie Williams  i would turn that off. Good point lets stay on topic .But hey man i was saying to myself if FSCaptain is worth it an i couldn't make up my mind until  FSP kept crashing every time i was trying to load the aircraft. FSCaptain is the way to go . I don't think it has feature to turn off the applaud but they might be something you can low down the volume for the passengers .

There's no option to turn it off (all that applause isn't even mentioned anywhere ...).

Not sure what would happen if you simply removed the file, but replacing it by a 'silent' file with the same name should be no problem, correct?

What happened to AVSIM

I think I heard applause once on FSCaptain and it was after a soft landing at KMDW in really bad weather. I've used it for about a year, so I would say it's probably very rare for it to happen. You are more likely to get simple "nice landing" comments from the FO.

The program is kind of fun and can make a flight more interesting. The developer's support for it is outstanding, IMO.

In 40 years of flying I've never once heard the passengers applaud after a landing.

Now I feel kind of bad for you :) Where I live, people always clap (I hate it, but they do). Even if the plane had skid off the runway, I would bet that there would be a coulpe of nervous applauds :)

I'm a long time AirHauler flyer and have added FSFlightKeeper for ambient audio, FS2Crew as co-pilot and REX Latitude for performance tracking.

If I were to replace AirHauler with FSCaptain, what would change?

I wouldn't have to care about the business side of things (like in AirHauler) and I would get random failures created by FSCaptain? Have I understood correctly?

Thanks!

ve been reading the thread and have a few questions.

I fly for 2 va's one short haul using the aerosoft extended and one long haul using pmdg 744 and bbs 330, can all be used automatically, or do i have to "save up" to buy large jets

Will the product work on any route or only routes in its database??

Do i have to import the 2 va's airlines timetable inorder to fly routes.

Also.. for the long hauls, can you "leave it unattended for a few hours"  ie, can the crew to left to do the service automatically..

does it do ramdon failures and can they be switched off ?

Finally like fspassengers, lets say you thump it in, do the tires blow ?? ie.. is flight ruined and does it reset back to the gate.

many thanks

Choose per flight; no need to buy large.

It uses the FSX database, so any route should be possible.

Not necessarily: You can easily set up single flights, for example.

Also.. for the long hauls, can you "leave it unattended for a few hours"  ie, can the crew to left to do the service automatically..

Yes.

Yes to both.

Not sure here.

many thanks

Internal Interfaces.

I'll try the demo again when this gets addressed. Found demo very clunky and overly complicated to use.
