July 4, 201312 yr Its not QUITE abandoned. We are working on a way to put 3rd party aircraft into Flight and have had some success. nice, now let's try and bring the PMDG NGX into MSFlight
July 4, 201312 yr nice, now let's try and bring the PMDG NGX into MSFlight  I wish that would happen, but I believe they stated earlier that only simple aircraft will work at this moment. Alex Leung Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate Glider & Private Pilot via Royal Canadian Air Cadets
July 5, 201312 yr A C172, a Baron58, a GLLLLLLLIDER.... ;-) I would really like to learn about the FD details in MS FLIGHT... My investigation, long ago (last year), was too superficial when I started opening the pack files... Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
July 5, 201312 yr Commercial Member I'm praying for a Cessna 172. Moe Its possible, with some sacrifices. Flight was modular, and components were to be installed over time like jet mecanics, and glass displays. Sadly that did not happen, so we will have a limited selection of tools at our disposal. You can have a Cessna 172, but it will need to stick with steam gauges. No G1000 in Flight... Thats why I stated that the aircraft must be simple. Kevin Miller 3D Artist and developer
July 5, 201312 yr Steam gauges are good. In my Flight universe, glass panels are a fad that never caught on I would love to see the default FSX Cessna 172 ported. Tom Constantine The Old Hangar http://mainescenery.proboards.com
July 5, 201312 yr I flew both steam and G1000 C72's and I prefer steam. That is what I would want. Nice if the carbon cub GPS could be put in it but not critical as at least I have GMap. My wife flew the Steam C172 as well. I know a lot of requests go out to you guys and I understand a lot of them are not likely as Flight never was set up for turbine etc. But I would almost sell my left *** to have a steam dial C172 ( I would throw cash at you ). As I stated in another thread I want to point out why I think the 172 would be a good choice. 1. Most popular General Aviation aircraft 2. Most produced civil aircraft 3. Most used aircraft for pilot training I will shut up now. Just wanted to say my case. Moe
July 6, 201312 yr We all know that helicopters were to be included at some point. Are there any files in the system for small choppers? I would love a Bell 47 bubble with simple gauges. I also have only flown with steam gauges in the real world. I also love the C-172 or the 150/52. Yes,jcomm a glider would be nice. Anyway, what ever we can get will be greatly appreciated. Steve
July 6, 201312 yr I abandoned Flight sometime ago. What add-on aircraft are available now? I ask only because someone mentioned third-party aircraft add-ons. If there's a multiengine piston available with reasonably accurate avionics, I could see myself exploring Alaska at some point. Maybe a C-46, Ice Pilots style?
July 6, 201312 yr I never installed flight because it was too simple and arcadish although the graphics looks pretty good. It seems that if there would ever be a way to import world scenery and 3rd party aircraft from fsx providing the FDE is there it would "takeoff". They did spend a lot of time from what I understand making default aircraft real. 64 bit and dx11. Would have been fantastic If they would have done it properly for more hardcore base. July 6, 201312 yr Commercial Member Im not sure if multi-engine is possible. I do know that the C-46 is in, but it could be a simplified flight model that only acts like a twin engine, and not a real twin. I never downloaded any of those worthless warbirds, so I cant really check how it fly's. Cessna 172 is possible, and I even have access too a Cessna 177. I flew it around Seattle for about 2 hours last week (in real life). Kevin Miller 3D Artist and developer

I flew over an hour on one engine, the flight dynamics also made it handle like it had one engine. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/385628-c-46-on-only-one-engine/#entry2477991
July 6, 201312 yr The only thing I enjoy about Flight is the scenery of Hawaii. I wish there was something equal or better for us FSX users. July 8, 201312 yr I would like autopilot to, but it is probably unlikely. I asked about it before and although I thought some of the tricks that FS Widgets used for GMap might have worked. iIt taps info from the HUD. If the heading can be calculated from it, that could that also be used to move the aircraft controls to correct heading or altitude by a program convincing Flight that a joystick is injecting to Flight. Yes autopilot, GPS, and a working ADF would be wonderful in that Cessna 172 Stone and Kevin are going to work on next ^_^, but we will be happy with what they can do for us now and hope and support their efforts in the future.
