What is the common non Orbx-centric opinion? Did they hit, or miss?

Kind regards,

Hi Stephen,

Staying just 20 miles away, it looks pretty accurate, and it appears to be worth the cash.

Some varied opinions on it though, - I also realise there will be "one or two" "haters" or whatever.

If I didn't have UTX,GEX and egp extreme, I don't think I would think twice about getting it.

There are other screenshots available, though I am sure you have seen them.

I do understand you were looking for opinions on who has bought it, but......

Hey Stephen, I bought it the day it was released and yes, it is great! It performs extremely well, presumably because of the wide open spaces. I have to admit, the lochs are beautifully rendered. The heather on the moors and mountains are very convincing too. There are a few niggles here and there, in particular some poorly placed textures close to Edinburgh airport, but this has been noted and it will be corrected in the next patch, which incidentally, Orbx are usually top notch with releasing shortly after launch of a scenery. Here's a taster from my first flight out towards the Isle of Skye

Hi Stephen I think it is superb and a must addition to complete the island of Great Britain.  Edinburgh has a texture issue which is being patched.  There are a few things likely to be patched soon but all in all it is of good quality.

The only thing that annoys me is the price.  I do realize the effort that goes into these things but compared to England/PNW size for $$ they have squeezed us by making three regions when one would do.  I refuse to buy wales at this time.

They offered their sale thingee to get folks to buy Scotland but that meant you had to pay the high price for Wales and such a small area to get the deal on Scotland.  Don't mean to whine on this.

I dropped the money for Scotland and glad I did.

Is that a Labradoddle?  Nice pup.

Hey Bryan, I know what you mean, but then again, if you were to buy the equivalent VFR photoscenery of Great Britain it would set you back several hundred pounds a rediculous amount of dosh.

Looks like it is a must for me then. Wanted to hear it first hand from friends I trust.

Thank you gentlemen.

Viele,

Instead of chewing you out for having a way oversized picture I downloaded it, reduced it in size and reposted it back inside your post. at the correct size.

Kind regards,

PS. No, she is a American Golden Spaniel and pure white toy poodle. She cost a fortune but was gifted to me. What a blessing. She is smart enough to read my mail (almost). Love that dog!

Which reminds me:

Anyone hear about the Atheist, dyslectic insomniac? He couldn't sleep all night, worrying about whether or not there really is a doG. :)

To me it looks better than England

Perhaps that's because, IRL, Scotland looks better than England!
