July 5, 201312 yr Sorry if this has been mentioned, my access to this forum is painfully slow so I don't read much... This airport scenery in my mind ticks all the boxes for a state of the art FS9.5: I always look for the base texture first, if that's good, chances are the rest will follow Then you start looking at the buildings... in this case made with Google Sketchp! Photoreal and baked textures And finally, the way the whole thing is packaged. Tick.
July 5, 201312 yr my access to this forum is painfully slow so I don't read much... Same here, mentioned it in another post where that was being discussed, however it has been passed over, or so it seems. Regards, Joe Esposito
July 6, 201312 yr Excellent scenery that is better than a lot of payware scenery, well done and here is hoping for future releases !! 5 out 5 stars! BruceU
July 6, 201312 yr I'm currently in the process to compile the scenery for FSX. For that reason I have to fire up FSX - and it's so awful slow and sluggish on my - not that bad - pc... And then back to FS9 with all the great environment addons running - smooth and sweet That's the reason I put all the efforts in this FS9 scenery. Thanks for your feedback guys. Cheers Volker BTW: great AI WingZ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It has a real "mood" to it - it's not just good looking, it's also interesting, if that makes any sense...
July 6, 201312 yr Author ...does make sense, I'm always on the lookout for sceneries that have content as well as fine modelling. On which topic, the way it goes with FS, where to fly to from here? My northern European geography is a little vague, but I have a wonderful utility called Destination Finder. I wanted a helicopter flight of about 45 minutes and so entered 75nm and found... Bornholm Island! which I already have, Another "interesting" scenery albeit payware. And since Berlin Tegel popped up also, I have just bought it from Sim Market and am about to have a nice 2-stop tour of the chilly North Sea. BTW: great AI WingZ! Yes I couldn't find the AVSIM repaints your package mentions, so got "creative".AI does add the cherry on top of good scenery, doesn't it?

LOL - I just logged on here after a flight from EDAH to Bornholm in the DA Piper Cheyenne. Some other destinations would be in Poland - Gdansk for example?? There's a good freeware version and an excellent payware one... A nice flight for the Flight1 ATR?? And I also tweaked the AI file and am enjoying some interesting variety, including traffic from various WoAI packages as well. This really is an outstanding scenery!! Cheers mate Ian
July 7, 201312 yr Just to let everyone know, there is a update to this excellent scenery. The file name is c7_edah2013_v101.zip
July 7, 201312 yr Thank you all, great feedback Greetings from EDAH Volker Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
July 7, 201312 yr Great scenery and after some texture conversion and adding mipmaps it looks even better! Nice job!
July 8, 201312 yr Yeah, I just converted the large 32bit ones to dxt3 and added mipmaps where needed.
July 8, 201312 yr This may lead to pink snow textures and not so nice night lightning... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
July 8, 201312 yr Hi, is there any possibility to "merge" this scenery with the Heringsdorf 2012 scenery by Volker Löw, Frithjof Koch and Henry Baumann - technically as well as legally? I'd like to keep their Mellenthin Ultralight Area which is included within their Heringsdorf_2012.zip. I'll visit Heringsdorf soon with my An-2, there's already one waiting at WingZ' pictures! Thanks, Harald By the way Volker, do you accept suggestions for further sceneries? If so, my favourite was EDAB Bautzen... Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
July 8, 201312 yr Hi Harald, merging both scenerys would be a trial & error task. You could try to deactivate the BGL files that contain an 'EDAH' in the filename within the Heringsdorf 2012 folder?! And regarding future projects there is one essential aspect: the source material. I've choosen EDAH for my first scenery project because I had access to countless photos of almost every airport building/object and first hand information. So if I get in the mood to start a new project this will most likely be EDVK Kassel-Calden which is 15 km away from my house. I already got an official permission to make photos on the whole airport area ;-) Ciao Volker
July 8, 201312 yr Whatever you choose to do Volker, count me in!! If EDAH is your first scenery project, I can't wait to see the next one! Cheers Ian
