  3. Hi all, after purchasing two new aircraft addons for FS9 is was really flashed how highly detailed the exterior models and VC's are. A couple of month ago I read about a new method to bypass the FS9 model compiler polygon limit and it seems that developers take advantage of this nowadays - which is good for us FS9 users I think B) I did a little research and found the HighPoly demo aircraft which even has every single screw modelled: Look at the landing gear of the C90 King Air... ...or the landing gear of the QW Avro: I analysed some models regarding amount of triangles used: Boeing Stearman HighPoly Demo: 341.242 triangles Carenado C90: 216.000 triangles QualityWings Avro RJ100: 60.800 triangles iFly 737-800: 55.000 triangles PMDG B747-400: 45.200 triangles FS9 default Lear45: 13.600 triangles FS9 default 737-400: 5.050 triangles Long story short: Development did not stop for our vintage sim  Cheers Volker
  4. Carenado, QualityWings, Real H2O and SweetFX. Cheers Volker
  5. The scenery will soon have AES Support: http://www.forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/50084-AES-Airportrequest-post-only-here!/page__view__findpost__p__500042 This will make it complete :-) Cheers Volker Sent from my iPhone 6
  6. Hi Harald, merging both scenerys would be a trial & error task. You could try to deactivate the BGL files that contain an 'EDAH' in the filename within the Heringsdorf 2012 folder?! And regarding future projects there is one essential aspect: the source material. I've choosen EDAH for my first scenery project because I had access to countless photos of almost every airport building/object and first hand information. So if I get in the mood to start a new project this will most likely be EDVK Kassel-Calden which is 15 km away from my house. I already got an official permission to make photos on the whole airport area ;-) Ciao Volker
  7. This may lead to pink snow textures and not so nice night lightning... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thank you all, great feedback Greetings from EDAH Volker Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I'm currently in the process to compile the scenery for FSX. For that reason I have to fire up FSX - and it's so awful slow and sluggish on my - not that bad - pc... And then back to FS9 with all the great environment addons running - smooth and sweet That's the reason I put all the efforts in this FS9 scenery. Thanks for your feedback guys. Cheers Volker BTW: great AI WingZ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. ...no Megaairports, no PMDG, no Level-D, just MS..."The game will feature it’s own marketplace, with content regulated by Microsoft. There will be no scenery development kit and hence no user created content. The Live marketplace allows for constant content flow and users that opt-in to share data, allow the team to react to user behaviors to improve the game and add more of what users want. It also allows for quicker response to user requests, fixes and general improvements. On top of that, integration with the Microsoft Flight® website offers a more direct link between team and users."Read the full article here:http://flyawaysimula...rosoft-studios/Cheers Volker
  13. It's Portland from Flightscenery - outstanding quality. Unfortunately they only made two sceneries as far as I know. Rhode Island is the other one.
  14. Hi,I quit flying FS 2004 long time ago, because my computer was simple not able to handle all the nice FS-eyecandy addons and ai-traffic packages while flying a highend aircraft addon and keeping acceptable framerate. Not to mention FSX.Few weeks ago I buyed a new computer with I7 processor and ATI 5850 videocard and gave FS2004 and FSX a new chance....all I can say is wow. FS2004 is now the sim I always wanted :( Fully packed with Addons (REX2004, UTE, WOA, many Megaairports...) and absolutly fluently framerates (min 30+) at HD resolution in almost every situation - simply great. FSX didn't made it again for me. I tried the innsbruck approach mission, and again - framerates went down to 12-15 (no addons, last servicepack). So I'll keep flying FS2004 and pray for further addon development....Bye Volker

  16. I'm too very impressed by the enhancements FSX offers. It's going to be a great platform! And as soon as Flight1s FE / GE and PMDGs 737 are FSX-ready, I'll say goodbye to FS9.What makes me wonder is, will there be an enhanced autoadjustment feature in FSX which helps to keep the target-framerate? I think I've read about something similar in one of the dev-blogs but I'm not sure.I saw this feature in X-Plane where several adjustments (e.g. visibility radius) are automatically reduced to keep the desired framerate. That would be like flying at cruisealtitude with fully eyecandy, fully ai, fully everything and as soon as you turn into final of an big airport with dozens of ai-planes and very dense scenery (and probably an FPS drop) the systems autoreduces certain things like amout of on-ground ai, overall visibility (you don't need to see 150 miles around the airport while in final) and so on. This would be so cool! But nevertheless - I'm happy the grap my FSX-copy as soon as it arrives in Germany ;-)Cheers Volker
  17. another observation: the scenery seems to cast shadows even onto the surface of the parked airplanes:http://i.i.com.com/cnet.g2/images/2006/211...1_screen008.jpgnice!!bye volker
