Funny, Orbx has been trying to say the same thing, yet they are met with resistance, saying "not so!"

it also means that you will not pay 2000+ dollars to cover the world because building specific regions requires a massive investment in time. What GEX offers is extensive coverage of the entire world for a very resonable cost in compare. It is considered the BASE to a build so you can add any freeware/payware airports or other scenery elements and they will work with GEX just like they work with default FSX and without special patches.

I'm pretty sure the decision to release FTXG now was for two purely financial reasons.

1. For the benefit of ORBX, get some money flowing into the coffers now rather than wait for the LC to be available.

2. For the benefit of the customer, he/she gets the product into their hands now without having to wait, and also by staggering the release of FTXTG and the LC products purchasing costs are reduced in the short term, thereby enabling the customer to spread the cost.

Are the LC's going to have a price tag?

Yes. Around $15 per continent. I think Europe is first.

Honestly, They should reconsider and go with NA first as its the one with the desert issues.

I think they should punish the cranky, whingeing US and make us last! ;)

Africa first, instead; that would be fitting.

With Ireland and Norway coming; I think it is only logical to go with Europe first.

I thought you were going to say what I was thinking: "the one with all the desert whiners."

Nope, you're all wrong. They need to flip a coin.

Each region is just as importantant as another. Just ask the person who lives there.

I think they should do Antarctica first, just to annoy everyone.

ROFLMAO!

There's a more serious thought though, has anyone flown down there with FTXG to see if the green creep has spread that far?

I haven't been down there to look, but I'd be pretty surprised if the Kudzu had made it that far :P

Seriously though, since its a "green for brown" texture hue issue and the land class definitions for snow and ice in Antarctica wouldn't be calling those texture files, I think the penguins are safe...
