March 14, 201412 yr like anything with technology it will come down in price. Clayton how is your build coming along? I've decided to switch to an Airbus Free avionics glass software (jeehell FMGS), can't hurt and saved me $$$. Soarbywire - Avionics Engineering

July 5, 201411 yr Author sorry to resurrect an old thread but after over a 6 mth break from FSX and booting her up again and playing some recorded flights in 3D with the projector, it simply is amazing! also other games like ship simulator and railworks looks amazing amazing amazing! now today after a few random reboots happening over the last week or so it looks like my psu has gone belly up, so i am ordering a new psu and my fsx computer is out of service for a week or so! but boy oh boy projector + 3D what an amazing experience! p.s watched that movie Wolf on Wall Street on it, i thought i was in the cinemas, that is a very funny movie! That's the beauty of projectors. You can take a flight on the PMDG T7, and with the flick of a switch, be watching an in flight movie!!, or surfing AVSIM, while in cruise! July 27, 201411 yr Author yes it doesnt look too good here because it has been processed two times, through the camera and then through you tube, but I tell you it is like sitting on the flight deck, the total size is 12 feet diagonal. I7-10700F RTX 3070 32 Gig Ram
July 27, 201411 yr Hard to tell in the video, but it looks like you are projecting directly onto the wall. You should look into getting a screen. We used to do that ourselves but now we have a 150" custom built screen in the basement home theater room and the difference was massive!

Isn't it great? I'm stunned at the lack of enthusiasm in the flight sim community for projector sims and it goes to show you that the leaps in technology over the last few years has not really been absorbed by the general public . For example my boot up time is 30 seconds for the globe to ready and my replacement lamps have dropped in price dramatically, mine is just $100 from china. ZORAN

Yes it is straight onto the wall, you can see how big the size is by looking to theright and you can see the door (gives you a comparison), please tell me the major differences on a screen would be? July 28, 201411 yr Own 2 Elite screens, one for the theater room and one for the flight-sim office and the screens add clarity and the correct color to the images. Flight sims are great on a huge screen.
July 28, 201411 yr Author even more spectacular in 3D on a huge display I7-10700F RTX 3070 32 Gig Ram
July 28, 201411 yr If you use a wall, the best paint to use is Eggshell Off White. I was lucky The house I bought, just happened to use that color.! Works perfectly. Is your projector, a DLP, or LCD? Mine is a DLP. It's a little older, and unfortunately not a 1080P (720P), but still gives a pretty good picture. I wouldn't go back to a monitor. Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
July 28, 201411 yr Author hi it is a DLP benq w1080st, 1080p projector very happy with the quality, know where you are coming from when you say you won't go back to a monitor. I think this is the future with gaming and to get that amazing real life sizes. I7-10700F RTX 3070 32 Gig Ram
July 28, 201411 yr I have a w1080st, great projector. Also have a chromecast hooked up to it. Only problem is figuring out how to get sound to route to the speakers (don't want a cable running to through the floor). I was thinking of rear projection. Rear projection screen, anyone have any suggestions? Soarbywire - Avionics Engineering
