If you had $3000 for your flight sim ...

I would hire a nanny to look after my 3.5 year old and 4 week old so I could get some flight time in! :)

@ Ró: The GTX570 should suffice with 2560x1600x32 with no problem, I guess you don't rush off with 4096 HD cloud textures anyway, I have a GTX680 and I still use 1024 maxload and DXT5 1024 textures from Rex, rather have a smooth final than a slideshow :)

Yeah, after 260 hours in the PMDG MD-11X it was amazing to take the seat in the "real" bird. PF'ed Frankfurt-Cologne as my first flight, ATS and A/P off at 1500, sweating like a pig..., very tricky to get stabile on final, big difference from FS, and my first landing included a bounce from out of this world :) Mad Dog is tricky if your too fast... Then four five landings from prior to the IAF, got it dialed in at the end.

Although it was a totally new experience with the feeling of 180 tonnes in the yoke, I felt totally at home in the cockpit. Honestly I think the pilot running my session was a bit surprised :) Expensive but a very inspiering experience for a 44-year old who sadly, way to late discovered flying :)

Same for me, 1024 is fine on my screen. 4096 is just asking for OOMs IMO...

Yeh, it's something else to sit at the pointy end of the heavy metal, doesn't really compare to anything else, it's quite the funny sensation of being so small in control of something so large. Glad you enjoyed your experience.

I'd go for a small USB ventilator.  :Whew: Yeah, that'll be great.

I just dropped $3000 on this:
