August 8, 201312 yr I was under the impression it was going to be released between the T7 and the 744 v2. I do remember reading how the main guy did have some personal issues come up that did side track it. I thought their strategy was to release a complex commercial a/c and have a Dc6 or some other less complex aircraft come out in between. Could be wrong. I am getting old and ......... dam it I forgot what i was gonna say Richie Walsh
August 8, 201312 yr I think the 747v2 will be coming before the DC-6. I certainly hope not. The DC-6 was originally scheduled to come out before the T7. Luke Harvest
August 8, 201312 yr Defo the DC6 after the 777. Boeing overload if it´s 4th in the list of Boerings! -Iain Watson-
August 8, 201312 yr Defo the DC6 after the 777. Boeing overload if it´s 4th in the list of Boerings! Really ?
August 8, 201312 yr No less a wish than those wanting the 74 first... Then there will be those wanting the 737 changes/additions next. Bunch of guessing going on. We'll no doubt be told what the go is in good time. Mike Dryden
August 8, 201312 yr I am in fact as excited for the DC-6 as I am for the 777. Can't waint to get an update on where in the development process it is at the moment. With kind regards, Bogdan Misko.
August 11, 201312 yr Glad the 777 is almost out, we are that much closer to the DC-6 Whether the 747v2 or DC-6 is next, who knows but I think the DC-6 is farther along requiring less development time to finish. It would make sense to wrap it up. Here are some nice DC-6 sounds for your listening pleasure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2WPENgPfNM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=las86zvsMY4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNyXbSCZk9Y These landings will be really fun in the PMDG 6 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTE2rokFcfk Cheers TJ "The knack of flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." - Douglas Adams Tejon 'TJ' Stanley
August 11, 201312 yr Amazing, this thing has character pouring out of it! I have seen that ac and been to hanger 7 a few times. Luckily for me I do business in Salzburg often so to persuade me to buy their products, we get VIP treatment at hanger 7 often. It's a great tour, great bars etc. Next time I will ask for a flight. I really hope the dc6 is as far along as mentioned. -Iain Watson-
August 15, 201312 yr I would really like to see the DC-6 come out. I have the Just Flight version which overall does pretty well but it would be nice to have a wee bit more on the working gauge/switch/systems side of the house. Also some clean-up on layout on instruments which certainly seems within PMDG's abilities. How about a 'grubby' vs. 'factory fresh' panel option..I tend more the Captain Sim look (without software bugs although) rather than clean and shiny.
August 15, 201312 yr I thought everybody is satisfied with payware Just Flight DC-6??? It is not good??? Aharon
August 15, 201312 yr I enjoyed it for a while I thought everybody is satisfied with payware Just Flight DC-6??? It is not good???Aharon
August 16, 201312 yr Aharon, I did not mean to say the Just Flight DC-6 is not good. I do enjoy it alot and I think my money was well spent. Most importantly I haven't found a bug yet, unlike a certain brand name payware seller of the 707. Once I emailed Just Flight's tech support about a cockpit lighting question and got a good follow-up from them in one business day. But maybe like some of you I am always looking for the next step-up! Personally would just like more working cockpit switches/systems such as the supercharger switches. While I prefer vintage props, from what I see of the modern jetliner crowd in FSX there seems to be a concensus that PMDG really fleshes out systems, which in a DC-6 seem simplistic compared to some of the modern stuff.
August 16, 201312 yr Gordonicus, I see I thought people are not pleased with Just Flight DC-6s and want to wait for PMDG DC-6s. Aharon
