August 7, 201312 yr I don't know really, but it will be a beauty to fly, especially for the kind folks over at calclassic FS2004 Forever
August 7, 201312 yr It would be safe to say once PMDG gets the 777 beta testing wrapped up and released, that we'll get an update on the DC-6 and 744v2. Chris Sunseri
August 7, 201312 yr Hope to get a wee update soon, not even sure if I will buy the 777, just not my type of a/c. Got a round the world trip planned in the DC6, hope to be flying it over winter! -Iain Watson-
August 7, 201312 yr Ha I'll be buying all 3 I'm a sucker for PMDG stuff ATP MEL,CFI,CFII,MEI. Type Ratings B-737, ERJ-190,ERJ-170
August 8, 201312 yr I'm really looking forward to the DC6 as well. But no point in pushing for updates as the "it will be ready when it's ready" protocol aplies to this as well I'm sure. Gonna be a treat for sure! "To most the sky is the limit but to me it's home" Rick Harms (CYVR) i7 [email protected] (for now) asus p6t v2, 6gb ocz 1600 CL7 ram. BFG 285 oc, vista 64, Samsung 52" 1080p lcd track IR5. PMDG j41, 747-400x, 747-8i/f, NGX.......Finally!!!!
August 8, 201312 yr IF the T7 is going to come out this month or next month, the 747 v2 will come out early next year, so don't expect the DC-6 until 2015 is what I would say. Regards, Jeremy Chesney
August 8, 201312 yr I gave up on the DC-6 about bought the Captain Sim 727 instead. So no I'm in no rush at all for the DC-6, let it come out and let it get a few updates by then I may be ready for another plane.
August 8, 201312 yr I guess we are getting the dc in between 777 and 747 v2 I think the 747v2 will be coming before the DC-6. Regards, Jeremy Chesney
August 8, 201312 yr I can't find any reference to it, but I'm quite convinced that the original planning was to release the DC-6 before the 777. If I recall correctly, the DC-6 was/is also intended to be a "light" simulations with regards to systems depth and all, making development time significantly shorter. Did PMDG ever make any information on the reason(s) behind the revised scheduling and apparent project scope? I don't think after the formal announcement (2 years ago??) we ever got to see or hear more on this aircraft.... Regards, Frank van der Werff
August 8, 201312 yr Somewhere there is either a thread or a discussion with RSR that said that one of the guys working on the 6 had life get in the way during one of the phases. When that passed, the 7 was at the same stage, so needed that resource. So the 6 got parked in favour of the 7. Commercially sane decision. ;-). I just hope those (like me) who are looking forward to the 6 perhaps more than the 7 will at least let these guys get through the release of the 7 and any hot fix that might be needed, then have a breath before the baying crowds reassemble...
