After all these years flying flight simulators, Ive never thought to hop over to the FO side. After all we do fly as single pilots even if we have accompanying virtual FO software. But when we started out flying on 2 pilot jets, we should actually be on the right side. Thats reality.

 

I mention it because watching the justplanes Dvds etc the Captain and FO obviously take turns for landings and takeoffs and began to wonder what the what its like. Definitely a different perspective even though its just a few feet over. 

 

Just a curiosity. Have you flown on the FO side before? Dont forget to move the throttles to the left side of you.

I have a few times, but normally I fly from the left hand seat. I believe that the right seat is the default seat for the Majestic Q400, which I like quite a bit. More addons should do that, make the FO side the default side.

Not in the FSX world. We are sole Captains. It was just different to try. Definitely not a preference. Its a little weird.

Right side of cockpit is weird, like driving a car at right seat.

Only when I am doing multicrew with a mate in the Leonardo Maddog.... Otherwise you will be find be in the left seat with four bars on my shoulders :good:

I do often. I do mostly Caribbean out and backs and do either the out as CA and the back as FO.
