How long?

Featured Replies

No, not how long until release! Robert or Ryan, can you tell me how long ago work began on the 777? When did the first work commence on developing it, even if it was meeting Boeing people and not coding work? Just curious. Can you share this with us?

+1! I've always wanted to know how much time has gone into this wonderful project!

Look at when the NGX was released....right after that the development should have started.

Incorrect - I think proper work only started early last year or very end of 2011.

Maybe we might have to wait until after release to find out. Seems they are a tad busy right now, eh?

READ THE MANUALS.

If possible, can you also tell us what coding software you guys use, as well as what software you use to model the 777?

Please, it would be nice to know even more about the best sim aircraft.

I was under the impression that this was in the background during the NGX development ....

But i could be wrong.

Seeing the requirement to install Visual C++ redistributables with each aircraft they most likely use Visual Studio for the programming. As for the visual there there is no real way to know but by their answer :)

I guess, for the modelling, they use Cinema4D. It's the most powerful program for modelling.

I recall Ryan saying that the development time is less than two years despite people feel it has been dragging on forever.
