30AUG13 - PMDG 777-200LR/F Release Plan Update (Important!)

Recommended Posts

You obviously didn't comprehend my valid point. LOL.

There is no valid point in your post period.

How do you know much more? What are your credentials?

It's an insult to hear comments like you made...I have spent 17 years in the software business and have worked very hard over that time. Crunching on projects for 16+ hours a day for months on end sometimes. You need to understand there is a process involved here.

Be patient, don't question these guys, they are pros and will deliver a superior product next week. Be glad, not all developers put this amount of time and effort into what they do.

Thank you for the update! I appreciate PMDG's devotion to quality and reliability.  PMDG's products are as real as it gets, so it is quite fitting that much like some Boeing and Airbus aircraft, the first delivery is delayed in order to work out some bugs and to ensure a top-notch product.

Greatly appreciative of all your work and dedication to the FS community.

It's great you guys take extreme pride and enthusiasm in making the product perfect, but as all pilots say, there's no such thing as a perfectly good airplane. I think it frustrates a lot of people because, although you didn't give a specific date, you gave the "release week" thing on Facebook, and plenty of people followed. So after waiting for years for this thing, people got their hopes up to have them crushed by this. But glad it's fixed and hopefully we can move on. The only thing that will ABSOLUTELY ###### everyone off is if the price is set at a ridiculous price (higher than or equal to the MD11). Just a heads up on that,

Daether

It doesn't frustrate me. Good things come to those who wait.

You need to walk outside and enjoy some good 'ol sunshine mate. Lighten up!

Signed,

Regards

Daniel

Software for what? Not Software for Flight Simulation..

Yeah, but, like Tabs himself said, if they REALLY want to get the 777 out even more than us, they would be working day and night to testing it and getting it all ready.

But if it takes a week for this, than that obviously says they really aren't in much of a rush.

Just my opinion.

Act in haste, repent at leisure.

True of words as well as software development.

Rushing accomplishes nothing but the illusion of accomplishment. Which is, basically, the fundamental problem with most of the world these days.

The journey matters as much as the conclusion.

As per PMDG POLICY no release dates exist for these phenomenal products.  PLEASE cool down and let PMDG do their jobs most of them have dedicated their lives to. This response is exactly why there is a no release date policy. If you’re looking for that Carenado will take care of that with their 4 Service Packs for the Piper Seneca IV for example, in their forum.

Be wise and relax.

Cheers,

Billybob

I think you got it wrong...i'm cool and i totally agree with their policy to keep it until its completely finished. Thats why i said "who cares about one week more now"....and even if its 2 or 3 i dont care, i prefer a complete product instead of a bugged version.

Just sit tight - this will be MORE than worth the weight.

I think you just gave the secret away Luke. We must be getting the 300er as well if it is worth the WEIGHT as you said. I have never known you to make spelling errors....

Right. because we can just force our unpaid beta testers and real-world pilots, our server support staff etc to work all day and all night on a holiday weekend - all for you, "Keith77L". And there's so many good reasons we'd want to delay for the fun of it and not make money right? It's all a big conspiracy to stop you from flying something that you already know works. You got us.

I've slept a grand total of about 10 hours this entire week while we've tried to finish this - some of us on the team even less than that. Your insinuation is flat out insulting.

Which proves my point that you can't comprehend anything.

You really ought to take a timeout, because you're in way over your head right at the moment, and Tom has shown that he has zero patience for this sort of thing.
