When I first pulled this post up I thought good, at least we know what the issue is and the new time frame for release. But then you always get that one idiot who has to say 'sigh', even real airplanes go tech an have hiccups when they're new.

PMDG, please don't let this put you off giving a weeks notice prior to any new product release in the future, it takes away that unknown of when it will ever come for us as customers and as you can see by this thread, 99% just appreciate the update and the fact we have a time frame at all.

Hej all

I think the delay to the release of the B777 only makes it more real, I mean both Airbus and Boeing seem to do the same thing :P

I would much prefer having a product that worked fulled and not one that stopped working half way over the Atlantic and becoming unflyable.

Lets hope that we are flying this amazing looking bird sooner then later - I am praying to the FSX God for early next week but hell I would wait until the end of time for this stunning looking aircraft

Maybe we should all go out this weekend for some sun before we all become completely connected to our PC's for the foreseeable future

I've decided this morning to do some well needed PC maintenance and "spring cleaning" to prepare for the T7 release. Better than twiddling my thumbs in anticipation ^_^

- Defrag of all O/S and F/S drives

- Antivirus and Spyware updates and scans

- Graphics and sound card driver updates

- Making sure all my active sky and rex , gsx etc is up to date

I reckon i might have gained a couple of FPS too, can't wait for the relase

Gents-

(Well... and that guy who can't seem to remember to sign his posts... him too... I suppose....)

I have to tell you that I really appreciate your understanding on our decision to hold the release until we could properly assure that we had fixed the problem.

Tonight, I have flown the airplane KLAX-KSFO-KBOS-KIAD... (had to be home tonight... you know how it is...) and for the first time in a while I can say that I think we are finished.

I found two little minor picky items I am going to fix in the morning- because I can.  B)

In about 24hrs we are going to build what I expect to be the final release version... and then we will give the Tech and Beta teams a few days to make CERTAIN we didn't miss anything truly bad.

For those who wonder:  we have about 60 people using the airplane and reporting back.  Some of these guys are flying short hops like I did tonight... and some are flying 16 hour legs in real time.

Why would they do this?

To help us make sure it works.

I had the good fortune to be at UAL when we brought the 777 into service- and I had the good fortune to be around this airplane during a good portion of my UAL career.  You all know that my heart is evenly split between the 744 and the DC-3, but darn if this thing isn't a blast to fly....

You guys are going to absolutely LOVE this airplane.  I promise.

Thanks again for the words of encouragement and the patience...  It is almost in your hand.

You see guys its all ok remember the "Circle of Error" 7 days starting from Wednesday well its still well within that time frame so although sadly not this weekend shouldn't be too long and if RSR and TABS say its finished (hopefully no more errors) then we should get it soon. They are just waiting for people with RW obligations and holidays who we must remember are volunteers to just double check the fixes :) As soon as those people have confirmed the fixes then I expect the release will be here, also it doesn't matter what time on Tuesday or Wednesday they release it as long as its still Tuesday or Wednesday at PMDG HQ :)

Blessings

I have been told by certain professionals that I an a Perfectionist. They tell me that it is bad for me and I need to back down and re-think my way's. This may be true but a strong type A personality sure does make for a good product. I think that is the only type of people you would hire Ryan.

Keep making the Perfection. We will wait for it!!!

Thanks,

Ron

Thanks, Ron Fields

Thanks for the update, and yes I would rather wait in the terminal, then be in the plane on the ramp holding because of a warning light went off at the last minute.... :-)
