How does it feel so far? I just got home from work so I'm still downloading it :( - 20 minutes left on both downloads.

Hard to really say, after only one departure, but so far, it has behaved exactly as one would expect.

I never spent much time hand flying the pre-SP1 77L as I didn't want to get used to it with the FBW issues, so in that sense I really can't compare.

The new features and additions are really nice and well thought out.

FPS performance seems to be just fine.

It has certainly been awhile since I had an initial cruise of FL290 though !

These aren't even good screenshots, but I'm just too excited haha... Took her for a quick flight around NZAA just to see the differences compared to the -200LR.

She's beautiful!

JPG compression killed the photos...but you get the idea....just go look on airliners.net for a KLM 773....it looks JUST like that in FSX.

Oh my John.....Quite the gorgeous shot!  I don't know what it is about Turkish...the livery just appeals to me...can't put my finger on it, but really like it.

Thanks for the stunning depiction of her, doing what she does best...gracing the skies!

Awesome shots, Steve!

I'm only posting these because KLM's -300ER was one of the few 77W I saw in my life -- my brother flew in one of these from SBGR to EHAM.

It's an incredibly beautiful airplane IRL. I still remember the sound of those engines being started. Seeing it in FSX reminds me that it has been a while since the last time I visited an airport...

So, Jeremy, there it is:

Ah, Steve, about the compression: how are you converting your images? I'm using Photoshop here and the results are satisfying, I think!

Thank you Steve and Gabriel for putting up with my neediness. I promise I will post next week when I buy it!!! It looks so beautiful, the one and only 300ER I have ever been on, and it was the best flight I have ever taken. Hopefully next spring I will be flying on an Air China (Smiling China? ) B77W LAX-PEK!

Hey Gabriel, your shots are amazing!

I'm using paintshop and compress them using the built in compression tool, and bring them down so they are around 200k in size.  That could be part of my problem, but also I never really played with all the options in the jpeg optimizer.

Maybe I need to!

Any settings you use in photoshop may be similar (and I have an old version I may start using if I can get jpeg result like yours and I dont get it in paintshop).

Let me know. :)

Photoshop can save JPEGs in a range of quality from 1 to 12. Usually I don't go below 10.

The files become kind of big (300-600kb depending on the screenshot -- at 1920x1080), but I think it's worth. I don't think someone suffers with these file sizes (at least I hope nobody suffers :P).

Steve,

Just go ahead and rework them in PS so that they're .jpg in whatever your native resolution is (or 1080p, your choice), the upload them to an image sharing site like Flickr.

From there it's all a case of just copy/pasting the correct hyperlink into the forum post, and boom! You have a picture, and in great quality too!

Examples:

You'll also notice that clicking on the link will send you over to Flickr for the full, (relatively) uncompressed picture!

Thanks mate. I quite like the livery too. It's nice and simple, not too busy. I think that's why it appeals.

On approach to Raratonga..
