landing at panc with the 777

Featured Replies

Just wanting  to know if its me or  is my nav data is out of  date already with the rwys at Panc airport.   flew into panc  and wanted to land at 07L  but fsx said  it  was 6L  Raas also announced 6L as well( since I got  the error in the cdu about  the mismatch in rwy etc)  and than I noticed  all my rwys  in  the 777 were 1 number off  to the fsx airport  data. So had  to land manually.

Same thing happened to me last night. It is not the Navdata cycle, it must be something internally in the FS2CREW RAAS database.

Enrique Vaamonde

Think I've read somewhere that you must run the mkrunways.exe to update the RAAS data to your current FSX scenery.

Edit: makerunways that is.

Find it at Pete Dowsons page:

True but when I start fsx  and load panc  and select  a  rwy its also out  by 1 number  to the nav data?  Tried it  with the ngx  the same  thing  so its not  the  raas so  it looks like  its  a fsx  thing  or  a  nav  data  that's  too new  for  fsx?

That's the magnetic variation changing constantly. FSX is 2006; the T7 is 2013.

The RW runways have been re-numbered to reflect the changes. For FSX you need updated (addon) airports. Or just live with it ...

What happened to AVSIM

Pete-

They must have renumbered- Make Runways will fix the RAAS but only a new AFCAD will fix the scenery numbering.......

FSX uses old magnetic variation data (2005 epoch), whereas the latest nav data is now based on the 2010 epoch.

Robin.
