I've added the lines in red. The 4 other entries were as advised in different thread.. Are these the entries that need to be added and what exactly is the outcome of this edit? Forgive my ignorance in advance. Thanks Andrew Andrew Dixon"If common sense was compulsory everyone would have it but I am afraid this is not the case"
September 10, 201312 yr Yes, the ones in red. They allow FSINN to recognize B77L as a valid ICAO code. Tim Tim Gyno
September 10, 201312 yr Thanks Tim! Worked like a charm... Now the only thing remaining is the rest of the FS community to fix their AI libraries so they can see my shiny new B77L Regards, Martin Martinov / VATSIM 1207931
September 11, 201312 yr Where do I find the ICAO.cfg? It is there: [DRIVE:\........\FSFDT\FSCopilot\AcftDB] Regards, Christoph Reppel (FSX, Win7 64-bit, I7)
September 11, 201312 yr Yes...that's right, just make sure you configure the aircraft in the ICAO default and custom windows. Because others are using B772 while flying in VATSIM, instead of B77L, I've also made FSINN use the same AI models for B77L and B772 for ease of use.Tim I made my PMDG 777 say, B77L in the custom window. I tried changing it back to B772 but it won't let me as I wanted other people to see me as a 777 and not a Cessna. Anyway, how do you make FSINN use the same models for both the 77L and 777? Anyway, how do you make FSINN use the same models for both the 77L and 777? Not sure why people are seeing you as a Cessna, although you should note there are two components to this, your settings and the settings of others. They are interdependent. To answer you question though, you would have to ensure the entries for the B772 model (for example) are duplicated for the B77L model. Tim Tim Gyno
September 21, 201312 yr Is there a way to save the configuration? everytime i star fsinn I have to do the conf all over agai? Daniel T Costa
September 22, 201312 yr This is normally saved as you make the change. Suggest you ask over at the VATSIM (FSINN) forum. Tim Tim Gyno
October 30, 201312 yr Author I'm going to bump this, due to another frustrating day of seeing PMDG pilots with wrong FSINN settings again, so loads of ZZZZ. All not helped by incorrect information on the VATSIM(FSINN) forum pages! Which multiple people have requested it taken down - it states the correct info there but only after you read the wrong info first! So guys - remember delete your FSINN.cfg out of your payware sim objects folders for planes you fly online - set up current used aircraft!!!!! Regards the editing of ICAO.cfg well worth going through and adding a few others to this to capture newer aircraft types/versions since FSINN was released. And capture people who put wrong icao info in. Such as A380 instead of correct A388 and B787 instead of the correct B788.
