September 18, 201312 yr Hi I cant seem to get my cockpit and the outside an the screen at the same time. Its all too large...even after zooming out. I am using 2 x hanns g HG281D and 1 x hanns g HZ281 monitors and getting 6116 x 1200 x 32 in the game.Bezel corrected. Am I doing something wrong? Very frustrating having to move my view up and down to see out or to view my speed. I can open a new window and place the dials in the right place but its messy. Pls help!

September 18, 201312 yr I'm not sure if I fully understood the problem  but are you already running the parameter WideViewAspect=True in your fsx.cfg? It's in the [Display] section and should allow for a wide FOV to start with.
September 18, 201312 yr Try using the viewpoint command... Shift+Enter = Move viewpoint up Philip Manhart :American Flag: - "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." ~ Plato
September 18, 201312 yr This is normal when using 3 monitors & that resolution. I have it, too. There is a youtube video (can't remember the name of it) that describes this issue on why this is normal. I usually just use eyepoint back & to the right to get more cockpit in view. It drives me crazy sometimes. I'm thinking of getting TrackIR to help compensate for it.

I've been using three monitors for many years just fine. WideViewAspect=True Hope this helps. Dave . September 19, 201312 yr Only thing I can think of is to set the WideScreenView=False to True in the Fsx.cfg. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! September 19, 201312 yr Commercial Member Sorry, but that's simply not plausible. It creates a significant change on the 50+ systems I've performed technical support on via Remote Desktop (so I saw the change, as did the user). Perhaps you have a modification or addon software that is reverting it back, either directly or indirectly? Really up to you, but this is so well documented that I'd pursue it! Best of luck. Dave . What does this mean? I usually just use eyepoint back & to the right to get more cockpit in view.?? September 19, 201312 yr Commercial Member Please re-post the images, as they were deleted. If the screenshots are in BMP, convert them to JPEG. Also, a screen shot from just one screen, taken from the default position. Sounds like you changed the FSX TXT file and not the CFG file. Open the latter in NOTEPAD, and make the change there. All should be fine. Dave Hodges System Specs: I9-13900KF, NVIDIA 4070TI, Quest 3, Multiple Displays, Lots of TERRIFIC friends, 3 cats, and a wonderfully stubborn wife.
September 19, 201312 yr Author It is the cfg file I am changing but not with note pad. I took this screen shot first.... Then I opened cfg in notepad as you said and WideViewAspect was back to False again, so I changed it and took another screen shot... Heres a screenshot of the file too just to make sure its correct Edited September 19, 201312 yr by firehawk44 Images removed as they all exceeded the 1600W and 400KB weight limits.
