So you would rather me carry on like every other child that argues? You're starting an argument that I will not continue, but I will say this: I do not engage in repetitive posts...I thought this topic needed some humor, so I found something funny to say, and I typed it....I try to help out anywhere I can, maybe you should check my profile and see what and where I've posted before you make claims as you did. Anywho, carry on.

Yes but that is the problem that many have tried to adress before. What is funny to you is obnoxious or irritating to others because without some bodylanguage to it ore eye contact it is sometimes hard to tell how things are meant. You are right though in that this is not worth getting into an arguement about. I should not have commented.

I was at some point the perfect Newbe then in your world :-)

I started out on another Forum. (not AVSIM)

The first thing I did is read posts.

After a while I was confident enough to ask questions that I felt were not totally stupid.

But soon I found out that anything I asked had been discussed before.

So, I went back to read old post. I think I went back and started to read from the year 2009.

At that point I had to read through about 40 pages of threads!

Not 40 post, no 40 pages with threads each several pages long !!!

A mammoth task!

It took me about a whole year to read it all, and write notes down.

Now I did this for me, cause I liked it and I learned a lot.

But it is hardly somehting you can expect everybody to do.

Also by the time I was done, I found out that many things I had taken notes on were now obsolete due to fixes and updates and Service Packs and newer hardware, etc.

So in my opinion it is fine for somebody to ask anything they want.

I answere to the subjects I find interesting and so should you.

You have no obligation to answere anyone.

And if you know the question has been answered already then just provide a link.

About the search bar.

Ha, what a yoke that thing is.

Try it, type in "PMDG 777 frame rate" and search.

Result....no results found...pfffff

No try google and search for the exact same thing.

Result: on the second line "What FPS do you get? AVSIM"

A yoke the AVSIM search function, I have never found anything I looked for with that!

PS, I also think the FAQ idea is a great idea.

Except.....who does the updating?

Thanks for your input Rob and sorry you got involved in an altercation! Your comments were very valid.

Note the search bar at the top of the thread states Search: this topic [button].

If you search the forum properly (clicking that this topic thing allows you to search various levels), it returns 63 given your exact search criteria.

An aircraft won't start if you don't know how to start it properly, too.  That's no reason to call them out as worthless.

Well you certainly took what I said literally.  I don't expect everyone to do that much research and back history as you have, but I do expect some effort put out to find the answer; especially when most of the recurring threads are within the 1st or 2nd page of the forum.

I searched the same thing and got 63 results...

In his defence (why is this word not in the Avsim dictionary?), the default search should be set to "forum" and not Google, or "This Topic", or the other dozen options.

Oooops,

Didnt even notice you could change that, I just type in my search criteria and hit Enter/ Search on iPad.

Just an idea, but maybe it would be better if the search would default to "Forums" then "This Topic"?

But, yes my mistake, I take that back and I appologize!

Got 63 hits as well.

...anyway. I understand that they want to fix everything on the list before they release a patch. It minimizes the number of patches.

But, while they're working on the remaining issues, the majority of the bugs have been fixed now and the fix is sitting in their computers. I'd love to get an interim patch while they work on the other issues.

How do you know?

Fill us in, pls. ...   B)

Read the issue tracking thread: fixed vs under investigation.

Actually, is it one of the words that's spelled differently everywhere but the US? Like colour, favourite, etc. (both of which my spell check says are wrong.. lol)

Where was the English language invented?

Answer: England.

Therefore I demand you all spell it like we do.     :england-flag:

Actually, it was not invented in England. If anything then UK!

But it was not UK either.

It was invented in the Netherlands.

The Netherlands is in between the UK and Germany and both countries used to speak DUTCH.

Over time they just developed their own dialects/Language out of DUTCH which is why so many words are stil similar in all three languages.

Like Beer - Bier - Bier.
